The biggest problem with OU and UC (or Akron, Toledo and Kent) is that they truly have ZERO institutional identity outside of looking in the mirror and comparing themselves to big brother, subsequently getting jealous and ultimately scheming to try and take what big brother has. You saw it with the antics that the juggalo AD pulled a few years ago and see it today with their new President posting pics of students spelling out UC with their arms. Script Cincinnati, anyone? You see it with Beavis' obsession with and claim to the state's name. Their entire identity and sense of value is tied to their failure to be Ohio State. Say what you will about Fredo (and it's a lot), but they at least have carved out their own identity as this somewhat unique little poor man's Denison.

My thoughts exactly. I'd love to see the few dozen Cincinnati fans who would come to Crew Stadium (now called some corporate name) to watch their spring game. It would certainly be a statement about their program, but not the one they'd be hoping for.

Nothing says "Ohio's BCS team" like a spring game at 20,000 seat soccer facility.
