Cincinnati Bearcats (Juggalos official thread of Faygo)

Juggalos just signed a deal with Under Armour. I, for one, eagerly await and will applaud their entire catalog of grotesque uniforms.

How much of teams' "grotesque" uniforms are the product of the company (Nike, Adidas, UnderArmor, etc.) and how much is initiated by the school?
"Beauty" is in the eye of the beholder. SOMEONE must like some of these disgusting uniforms. But would Oregon have "normal" uniforms if they had Adidas? Would Ohio State have ugly uniforms if they were Under Armor?

Your last 2 questions kind of speak to how either can be the source.
Oregon has no tradition... so Phil Knight used his alma mater as a test bed for whatever Nike's design team wanted to do next. When they have ugly uniforms, it's all Nike... the University isn't going to squabble given all the money they've thrown into the program.
Ohio State has tradition... regardless of who the equipment supplier is, neither the University nor the fan base would stand for too much derivation from the accepted norms. The same goes for most of the big name programs. Regardless who scUM's supplier is, they'll always have that helmet design.
In recent years, however, it seems it's mostly the company... they've all rolled out some "wtf"... though Adidas seems to take the cake in that regard. The amount of money being thrown at a University no doubt plays a role in what they're willing to turn a blind eye. Then consider most of the 120+ DIA schools aren't instantly recognizable by their team's uniforms being relatively unchanged over the decades.

So, if I understand you correctly, Cincinnati, since they don't have much nationally-recognized symbols or uniforms or traditions, is more apt to do whatever their supplier throws at them? How much can we donate to get them to wear "Ohio's BCS Team" or "bUCkeye state" on their jerseys?

You might have to pay more to UA to convince them to make it... but otherwise, they're clearly dumb enough to wear that on their own.
