Cincinnati Bearcats (Juggalos official thread of Faygo)

Get ready to hear one million friggin' times about how Meyer played defensive back at Cincinnati. How Meyer graduated from Cincinnati in 1986. How Meyer met wife Shelly at Cincinnati. How Shelley was a graduate of the nursing school at Cincinnati. How Urban Meyer's dad, Bud, has a degree in chemical engineering from Cincinnati. How Urban Meyer's sister, Gigi, is the vice provost at - where? - friggin' Cincinnati. :shake:

So is he going to treat them like he treated his childhood favorite? :( (I kid, there wasn't a whole lot less Florida could have done, except forfeit...which would have been nice...)

I don't know why I have to root for the Bearcats because they are from Ohio? Maybe if they were playing Michigan. I don't root for the Bengals, I don't root for the city of Cincinatti, and I don't generally like Cincinatti people (no offense to Cincy posters). Why? I'm a Northern Ohio guy and quite frankly I don't care. I looked at Cincy when visiting school and said 'get me the hell out of here'.

They are not doing one thing different than any of you would be doing in the same situation.

UC and their fans are both doing enough to put me squarely in the "I hope the Gators murder them" camp.

But this is the first thing I've seen in this thread, including the things that were split, that actually [censored]ed me off.

100% WRONG

Annoying as their fans and the media have been, I finally have to give the Bearcats some props - they're a much better team than I gave them credit for earlier in the season. Gators better prepare just as thoroughly for UC as they would for Tejas, or an unpleasant surprise could ensue.

Sorry, it'll never happen. Unless Florida utterly doesn't care about being in the Sugar Bowl, they're going to roll Cincy. Grillz that Killz will score a td or two, but that'll be it. Tebow of Nazareth will make mincemeat of those tiny down linemen for UC. Watch for every other tackle on a Tebow run to be made by a DB.

I'll say it right now, Tebow rushes for over 125 yards and 3 touchdowns against UC.

Asshattery from fans and administration aside, I have to offer congrats to the Bearcats on an outstanding season. Saturday's come-from-behind win at Pitt was very exciting and a great finish to the best season in program history.

I think the matchup with the Gators will be intriguing and I look forward to seeing that game.

And FWIW, I think the Buckeyes would've beaten the Bearcats by 2 TDs this season. :p

I have said since 2006 that I would root for a team of child molesting jihadists vs the Gators. Live long enough and you will indeed see everything because I have seen the day come when I will be rooting for Jort nation and Tebow of Nazareth to smite a team in the old testament, fire and brimstone sense of the word.

Using the transitive property then, UC fans have taken me from a no questions asked supporter of all things Ohio to putting them below a team of child molesting jihadists in my personal rankings of mother fuckers I stone cold hate.

So when Kelly leaves for Notre Dame, Meyer is headed to Cincinnati? Is that what you are trying to say? :p

I just want to point out that although Cincy finished third in the final BCS standings, slightly ahead of TCU, Cincy probably would NOT have finished second in the final BCS standings if Texas had lost. TCU would have benefited more from a Texas loss in the computers than Cincy would have.

Final BCS Rankings, expanded to show each computer ranking:

.........And &...Billin..Colley..........Sagarin.........Computer...Harris..Coachs..Overall
Team.....Hester..sgley...Matrix..Massey..ELO.Chs..Wolfe..BCS Score..Score...Score...Score
Alabama...25.......25......25......25......25......25.....1.000....0.9968...9966....998
Texas.....23.......24......24......22......21......23.....0.920....0.9547...9553....943
Cincy.....24.......22......23......23......23......24.....0.930....0.8656...8678....888
TCU.......21.......21......21......21......22......21.....0.840....0.9049...9058....884
Florida...22.......23......22......24......24......22.....0.910....0.8404...8407....864
Boise St..20.......20......19......19......19......20.....0.780....0.8274...8244....811
.

Estimated BCS Rankings if Texas had lost, expanded to show each computer ranking (% of 100 after hi-and-lo are excluded):

.........And &...Billin..Colley..........Sagarin.........Computer...
Team.....Hester..sgley...Matrix..Massey..ELO.Chs..Wolfe..BCS Score
Alabama...25.......25......25......25......25......25.....1.000
Cincy.....24.......23......24......24......23......24.....0.950
TCU.......22.......22......22......22......22......22.....0.880
Florida...23.......24......23......24......24......23.....0.910

So instead of Cincy gaining .090 delta on TCU's ranking in the 1/3 of the score from the computers (or .030), Cincy would have gained .0233 (1/3 of a .070 Delta), which would not have offset their trailing by .0773 in the Human polls (.0380 plus .0393).

This assumes that almost every computer would have dropped Texas below TCU, and that there weren't many human voters that had a sequence of TCU-Texas-Cincy, in which case a Texas loss would have benefited Cincy. It also doesn't try to account for the voters trying to game the system if Texas had lost, by voting a TCU-Florida-Cincy sequence, for example, in order to help TCU in the BCS standings.
