Ugh...I haven't had my iPod in the car lately so I've been listening to 700 WLW, listening to Willie Cunningham and the rest of these clowns tearing Kelly apart and saying UC should fire him on the spot right now, etc. is so obnoxious. The hate being shown towards him by callers and radio hosts alike is going to make things interesting should he end up staying.

They just got done reading ND's mission statement on the air and mocking it, saying it's a joke because 'of what they're doing to UC's players, taking their coach away. That's not Catholic!' Give me a fucking break.

It's Willie, you have to take everything he says /does with a grain of salt. He is an entertainer with an act...

Seriously though, the people who call in to those shows are complete blowhard hypocrites. Let them bash NoD all they want, it doesn't change the fact that they are a stepping stone for any decent coach out there. The naked kittens will most likely never experience this type of football glory ever again.

UC subway (and other irrational) fans: Please keep your hands, arms and overblown egos in the car until the ride comes to a complete stop.

I've been thinking: if UC wants to have this "little brother" syndrome, then the big brotherly thing to do would be to root for little brother. Of course, when little brother comes to town to play, you whoop them back into line. But then you go root for them again after that.

on a positive note, UC did sell out its initial allotment of 17,500 tickets for the Sugar Bowl. I have to say that the interest continues to grow...at least for another hour when BK announces he's off to South Bend.

Meltdown

To lie and say I didn't like the man would be the wrong thing to do. However, leaving a program at it's pinnacle is absolutely astounding. The man knew he had all the cards here. Holding the team, the university, and the city hostage. Should the day come (and it will) that Notre Dame fires their second hotheaded fatass coach, the schamles of a promising career and what could have been will be all he has left. Like many, he will nothing but burnt bridges around him.

I cannot say with a straight face that I wish the man luck. It is with remorse that I now look upon a program that many have fought to build, only to tear it down in one swoop. The jubilance to which was attributed to a remarkable season, and engergized fanbase has all but escaped me. And for once, I fail to see an idol as a man. My struggle is that a man would not do this. A man would not stand before 75 men who have given their all, and speak with a semblence of fictitious information. It is with equal standing to my allegiance to the University of Cincinnati football team that I now despise the man who built it.
