There's a difference between enjoying their time in the light and being complete asshats about it. They stepped way over the line between the two. They're really trying hard to create a rivalry out of nothing but hate and spite from where I stand. Rivalries of hate and spite mean we don't cheer for you, ever, and hope you lose every time (see: Tennessee and Florida). Since that's what they seem to want, then that's what they'll get from me this year.

The issue isn't the fans. It's the fucking school administration. They've been actively encouraging their mouthbreathing fanbase with "Ohio's BCS Team" bUCeye country scoreboard graphics and t-shirts and finally Script Cincinnati.

Fuck them. I hope Tebow of Nazareth goes completely Old Testament on their glorified mid-major asses.

As I can only speak for me, hell yes they are doing things I wouldn't be doing in their position.

Maybe when I was 18 - 20 years old, maybe. But if I saw my team's defense giving up 30+ to Illinois when the team I "hate" shut them out, I'd be worried.

That's the last thing I could see myself doing. I hate conflict, and that's all they're provoking. They could have easily had the entire state behind them, but they chose a different path.

I know there's no rivalry - it's fun to mention it to the 3 idiot UC fans that all of a sudden sprouted up at work in the past 4 months.

They think there is....treating them with contempt pretty much shuts them down

No worries, BuckeyeMike. There's plenty of asshatery in bearcat nation for the wrath to be spread around. I focus mine on the school administration. Being in Chicago, I don't have to deal with their fans. Hell, they don't even have an alumni bar (Ohio State has 4 official and another half dozen unofficial), but I understand what your pain must be like living amongst them.
