Cincinnati Bearcats (Juggalos official thread of Faygo)

I mean I get it with BK.

Yeah. BK never leaves the right way. But they've done it with everyone, Dantonio, Cronin, the guy who came after BK and now Fickell. It's like a group psychology that when a coach leaves them it destroys their collective delusion of being a destination program. They can't deal with that level of psychic damage.

Nonsense! BK is tanned. He's ready. And the Juggalo nation will love him there!

The local connection is important because UC gets local kids. With UC and Xavier, GE, P&G, Chiquita Brand, and Western and Southern Insurance, it’s a very European culture where people go from cradle to grave in one place. The first question you get asked when meeting a local for the first time is, “Where’d you go to grade school?”

This comment is partially right. Depending on the coach, UC gets local kids. Kelly, Davis and Fickell got that. Not many others did

And the 2nd bolded can apply to anywhere in the US except maybe LA, Vegas, Atlanta, NYC and Miami. And even then locals will ask, there's just more transplants

Wow. Pretty sure Louisville fans wanted him fired half the season and Sattefield wanted out all along.

Oh plus they have a bowl matchup coming up in a couple weeks.

This is a pretty disappointing hire for the Bearcats. They could've kept the momentum from Fickell going with a better hire, and settled on a coach that will set them back and probably leave the minute there's another opening

Never once been asked where I went to grade school. On the West Side they definitely want to know what high school you went to though. If it ain't Elder or St. Xavier then they don't give F about the rest of your background.

Yeah, most of the city, I've always been asked my HS, never grade school.
But then again, I've lived in 6 different states, and been asked that same question as well. And I've seen friends from other cities been asked that as well, and they thought their city only asked that of its natives
