 Thats great, nice use of the Hail Mary there.

Hey ORD, do you have a link to that quote from the post game? I couldn't find it, honestly. I did see that Charlie mentioned this team has a discipline problem after we got called on the excessive celebration penalty and other issues, and discipline is his job to teach. He also said though that you don't want to pin a loss on your QB, but that was part of the problem in the BC game.

In a lot of the losses this year Weis has mentioned doing a poor job preparing the team for the game, or not getting them ready for the speed of the game. I think this is the closest hes come to calling out a specific position, but Evan does seem to be more prepared when hes in the game, so a shot at Clausen may be justified. If he ends up starting against USC, which I don't think hes ready for, maybe he can use that as fuel.

I couldn't find this quote either. I'm wondering if it's a mis-quote. As much as we love to heap shit onto Charlie, he provides enough real stuff without the imagined crap.

Not sure about the quote. I read it in a thread on the domer board. The other domers didn't jump all over the guy and lock the thread, so I assumed there was some validity to the quote.

I don't have the stomach to venture into the actual video of Fat Bastard's press conference to either confirm or disconfirm the rumor.

The fact that others below the cited post refer to the statement confirms the quote IMO.

But who in college football blames a player?

Earl Bruce once got mad at a Cincinnati kid who got homesick and left the program. Bruce made an insane statement about ALL Cincinnati kids wanting to stay home and watch TV. It cost him dearly over the next few years. It took Cooper and a hard working Ron Zook to get Cincinnati kids to look at OSU again. May Fat Bastard learn the same lesson.

If we are going to crucify one overweight coach on a bad team,

how about some praise for the overweight coach on a GOOD team?

KU won a tough game against the Buffs, and look in prime shape for what could be an AWESOME game against Missouri.

You've entirely missed the point of this thread if you think we don't like Weis because of his morbid obesity.....

And if you like Mangino so much, perhaps you should start a thread for him.
