Game Thread CFP Semifinal: Ohio State vs. Clemson, Sat 12/31 @ 7p ET, ESPN

If I remember right, our only pass beyond 10 yards went for a huge first down completion to Ben Victor?

So keep on trying the fucked up gadgets to get the ball in Samuel's hands, because everyone in the damned world knows thats what we are trying to do. Ignore the fact that our RB can get 5 or 6 at a clip.

I'm about to scream go for it even on 4th down now, or fake it with Cam. At least that would be creative.

The offense has been in decline the better part of the past two years

hopefully this is rock bottom and the necessary changes will be made to improve

hell of a waste of talent the past 2 years though
Agree whole heartedly last year but this year I think you really have to look at youth. The O Line......is just not close to dominate. I wouldn't put them in the top 15 or so honestly. You don't win championships with that. I don't care who is in the booth.

So you don't think there are problems with the offensive staff? Yeah, the players should be playing better, but their playing won't generally be better than how they've been coached to play.

One run for Weber in 30 minutes of football. That alone is a major, major problem. They haven't even tried to get the run game going. They've just conceded that they won't be able to run. That is entirely on the staff.*

*Unless Weber has an injury keeping him from being able to tote the rock that is being hidden, but that seems very unlikely.
I hope they hire Wilson to finally fix the offensive flaws that are a staple of Urban . I think he needs a master offensive mind to sharpen him, not mediocre lackeys that aren't coveted by anyone.

That said, today they just aren't executing. They have had about ten first down throws dropped , knocked down or not protected. They had a number of first downs upended by penalties or terribly blown assignments upfront.
