OSU has offered 3 WRs, none from the midwest.

The only thing I can think of is he's transfering schools and they're waiting on grades?? I don't know for sure. IMO, they don't feel it's a rush with Williams.

According to this update, Williams has received an offer in writing.

Claims offers from Ohio State (says he received it in the mail), Illinois, Akron, Cincinnati and Kansas...says the OSU offer came last month. Recently visited UC and OSU.

Really? I would love to see us offer if true but if he isn't going to OSU, I wanted to see him at UC.

Smith has fallen out of love with UC as fast as he fell in love with it. And all it took was a few trips elsewhere.

The staff seems to like Welch better than Smith anyway, and they are in good standing with Fiedorowicz. I doubt Smith gets an offer.

Let's see how relevant they are replacing 10 of 11 starters on Defense WHILE switching to a 3-4.

Ah yes, the 3-4 in college. It's so successful as a base defense at the college level. Luckily, they're a recruiting powerhouse that can attract the talent needed at DL and LB to run a successful 3-4 scheme.

I might be sarcastic here.

With a couple offers over the past couple weeks and also some new news I think we are starting to get a little better feel for this class.

QB: Andrew Hendrix/Nick Montana - Probably a push for Montana, but will end up with Hendrix
RB: Roderick Smith
RB: Spencer Ware
WR: Still not sure here...There are guys out there, and now more names, but no one stepping forward as a leading candidate of who might take the 2 spots I would say we use here. Brown/Dunkley/Lewis are names that I would like to see in this class.
T: Matt James
T: Andrew Norwell
T: Skylar Shoefner/ Andrew Donnal - I say who ever looks better at camp we end up with, but right not they are sending quite a few Oline offers out there, so you never know if one of them will stick.
TE: CJ Fied - He is still my best guess...I know Iowa uses the TE better and so does ND, but it is hard to see someone picking Iowa over us...
DE: J.T. Moore
DE: William Gholston - Right now this seems like the most likely, but MSU is in good position...
LEO/DE: David Durham
DT: Garrison Smith/Jibrell Black - Another position that is up in the air...
LB: Scott McVey
LB: Jordan Hicks
DB: Christian Bryant
DB: Lamarcus Joyner
S: Chad Hagan

I think 18, and agree that 2 LBs now (though Durham could play here as well) with the last few hauls we've had makes sense. Perfect class for me:

QB: Andrew Hendrix/Nick Montana
RB: Roderick Smith
AP: Corey Brown
WR: A Big WR (Phillips, Williams, Lewis, etc.)
TE: C.J. Fiedorowicz
OL: Andrew Norwell
OL: An OOS OL (Linder, Kouandjio, Benedict, etc.)
OL: An Ohio OL (James, Schofner, Rotheram, etc.)
DE: J.T. Moore
DL: William Gholston
DL: Garrison Smith
Leo: David Durham
LB: Jordan Hicks
LB: Scott McVey
DB: Christian Bryant
DB: Lamarcus Joyner
S: Chad Hagan
Ath: Spencer Ware

Hey CBF40, was wondering if/where Jamel Turner from Youngstown Ursaline fits in this class?
