OSU has offered 3 WRs, none from the midwest. Compare that with past years:

2009: 6 offers (3 midwest), 3 verbals (2 midwest)
2008: 8 offers (4 midwest), 3 verbals (2 midwest)... scott decommitted though
2007: 9 offers (2 midwest), 2 verbals (2 midwest)
2006: 8 offers (4 midwest), 2 verbals (1 midwest)................ Schwartz (legacy)
2005: 5 offers (4 midwest), 2 verbals (2 midwest)... not counting Amos/DWash

9 of 12 verbals were from the midwest. Two of the other three were legacies.

Worth noting: Washington, Sanzenbacher, Schwartz, Washington, Robiskie had to wait for their offers.

WR seems rather thin/bleak at the moment, but this appears to be a combination of limited numbers and limited local talent.

I am not sure on Tyrone Williams...Not sure he realy has an offer...

I think Cj or Welch at TE and I see us landing one...

I see the # being 17...

It will be interesting see which one of Schoffner/Donnal get an offer...I think one of them does, and If James goes else where, both could get offers...Like both alot, lots of athleticism and both tackles...

I just don't see us landing Garrison Smith, I would love for it to happen...

I think we have a good chance to land the guys on your list, but I am sure things will change with a couple, and we will get in on some more guys later...

I'm really hoping Williams has an offer if the grades are there. I think is a top 100 type talent and we don't have any 6'5 pure WR's on the roster. He is a really fluid athlete.

Agreed on TE, I think we get one but I just don't see us pulling CJ in the end...I'm thinking ND gets him with him being from Illinois and their usage of the TE. Even Iowa maybe, they use the TE a lot too. We need one and ps, still bitter about Alex Smith.

I love Donnal and Shoefner. I personally like Donnal a bit more but I would take either/or. As you said, it depends on James. We aren't getting Henderson most likely, so with 3 tackle/OL offers going out (imo), I see us taking at least one of them.

Garrison Smith is a reach but he was an OSU fan growing up and has plenty of positive remarks for us in every update. I just know we have to take at least on DT and I'm hoping it's him.

It just seems that there are reasons to be positive about the guys on the list but for some reason I'm not too confident with a lot of these guys. It just seems that the recruits are playing it close to the vest this year because it seems there are a ton of guys who many don't have a clue on.

Also, a big wildcard is Corey Brown...aside from Joyner, he is at the top of my wishlist. Whether he plays RB or WR (I like him at RB), I think he is one of the top playmakers in this class but many are forgetting that with his season ending injury last year. However, I have no idea what kind of shape we are in with him. As for Howard...I like Brown, Ware, Smith, and Heard better regardless of what his grades are. Little chance he gets offered imo.

I think we have a better chance with Jibreel Black than Garrison Smith. But the big thorn in tOSU's side for years to come is going to be UC! Cincinnati kids are warming up more and more to Brian Kelly and having the chance to make something big down there. And right now Cincinnati is producing the best talent in OH! I like all the names that were mentioned on a lot of the lists, but I don't know about Swigert and Dyuan Lewis, is there a reason why people are thinking they're leaning our way? Not judging, just curious.

any reason for the hesitation on Williams? If you watch his film, here's a 6-5 guy with break-away speed. That makes him a better prospect than prater imo.

The only thing I can think of is he's transfering schools and they're waiting on grades?? I don't know for sure. IMO, they don't feel it's a rush with Williams.

I think Ware's a Buckeye regardless of ATH or considered the second back in the class. I can see Brown and Ware in the same class as both are very versitile. But I don't have as good as a feeling with Brown.

Cincy needs to focus on keeping their talent. Alex Smith is going to decommit soon, and Schloemer is not far behind.
