Ex-Sandcrab Scott misses Ohio St. camp

DAYTONA BEACH -- If he were in preseason camp with the 105 players at Ohio State, former Seabreeze standout James Scott might be preparing for his first start as a Buckeye.

But Scott is missing in action and no one at Ohio State will say why.

"He's going to be back in camp in the next two weeks or so," Seabreeze head football coach Marc Beach said .

Scott did not return messages left on his cell phone.

When asked why Scott was not in camp, Ohio State assistant sports information director Shelly Poe said, "(I) don't have an answer to that. He is not one of the 105 players invited to preseason camp."
