Would not be surprised if his being away from home (Daytona Beach, FL) came into play. Some kids just get homesick and don't want to be where they're at anymore.

Couldn't blame him. Come January and February I start miss Daytona Beach too.

Cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson denied reports that sophomore James Scott, who wasn't one of the 105 players in preseason camp, will transfer.

Johnson said the coaching staff is "still hopeful" that Scott can rejoin the team this season, although he did not go into specifics about Scott's circumstances.
