CB James Scott (official thread)

Before this latest issue, there were apparently some questions that came about this winter concerning James' desire to do what it takes to play at an elite level...this latest issue showed that it was time for a very strong wake-up call.

The ball is in James' court now.

Sophomore cornerback James Scott is not on the team's 105-man roster for fall camp, which is highly unusual for a scholarship player. A team source said Scott was in summer school and the problem was related to academics.

By definition, that means Scott must miss at least the opening game Aug. 30. After that, rosters can expand.

Scott, from Daytona Beach, Fla., played in 10 games last season, mostly on special teams. His highlight was recovering a fumble on a kickoff return at Washington.
