Cavs 2010-11 season (official thread)

the streak extends to 22 with a 117-112 loss at home to the Pacers

i figure their best chance to finally win a game is the stretch of 3 on Feb 9 11 and 13 where they play the Pistons, Clippers and Wizards at home
The Wizards have set a record for consecutive losses on the road. If the Cavs lose to them at home...well I don't know what to say.

certainly they can beat the Grizzlies......right? I don't want to see this happen to Scott. I've always liked him as a coach.

the grizzlies have a way better team then the pacers...randolph and Gasol should destroy the cavs post playeR

How treacherous has this season been?

I feel strangely closer to this team than last year's team, in part because of this legendarily horrendous losing streak. The crowd was packed last night and fairly loud. I feel like the city is rallying around this team... in the midst of athletic incompetence the likes of which we on the banks of the Cuyahoga have never even seen. Its the most Cleveland thing ever.

Worse than the 9-73 Sixers? I dunno, the Nets were Charlie Sheen as a priest awful a couple of years ago, and even they didn't approach that record.

i told you this thread would be worse that the Indians thread

Grizzlies win fifth straight while Cavaliers tie NBA futility record

The Cleveland Cavaliers matched the longest single-season losing streak in NBA history, dropping their 23rd straight with a 112-105 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.

The Cavaliers tied the 1995-96 Grizzlies, then in Vancouver, and the 1997-98 Denver Nuggets. They can equal their own overall mark for futility with a loss in Saturday night's game at home against the Portland Trail Blazers.

the fact most are getting paid a lot of money to play a game, I find it hard to feel to sorry for them. And that goes for most professional athletes. Watching college kids lose is a lot tougher........IMO.

I agree, and that's why I said I don't usually feel bad for my favorite teams when they're losing. This is the only time.
