Cavs 06-07 season thread

the problem with the play still remained that when they doubled on him. everyone still stood there and nobody rotated to get open. i highly doubt that the play on the greaseboard had 4 stationary x's on it.

See that is the thing that most people would think, b/c that is what happens, but as you could tell the play was just to have LBJ create and once he got in the lane he could pitch to a shooter if need be...

Which is freakin' stupid and basically Mike Brown in that timeout said he LBJ get the ball and try and do something...

How can 3 guards guard 1 guy at all times and you can't get anyone else open/easy looks and layups all day is so far beyond be that I can't fathom it...

Cut to the basket, if that guy doesnt follow you then either he is open or the backside defender has to jump that lane and then you have the guy on the backside open for either a wide open jumper or the guy closes out out of control, and you get the pump fake and go to the hole...

If the defender of the guy follows the cutter then you have LBJ going where that defender left off...

It doesnt take a rocket sceintist, but you need a little bit of planning...:!

My take on the final 4 games for both teams:

Cavs:

nets: I think this game is 50/50. Both teams have a lot to play for, nets don't want to fall into the 8th seed.
hawks: Cavs big, i'm suprised they are beating the 76ers as I type, they need a top 3 pick this draft or it goes to the Suns, they will tank for you guys.
@ sixers: This team will tank.
bucks: This team will tank.

So I i think there is
A 43% chance the Cavs go 4-0
A 53% chance the Cavs go 3-1
3% chance the Cavs go 2-2
1% chance the Cavs go 1-3
0% chance they go 0-4

Bulls:
knicks: I'm glad the Knicks are injuried because there will be a lot of bad blood and the Knicks will come out ready to fight, in the end the Knicks are jsut too ebat up to content. 85% confident the Bulls win.
bobcats: A win.
@ wizards: This team is pretty beat up, I know they gave the cavs a game regardless but without their two stars their guys are getting a ton of minutes per a game, they won't be able to keep up with the bulls depth. 80% chance the bulls win
@ nets: This game will be interesting 1. This might lead them straight into the nets/bulls playoff series. 2. The nets will likely have their seventh seed locked up at this point, and may actually prefer to play the bulls over the cavs since they have beat the bulls twice this year, thus management plays a lot of backups to increase the likelyhood of a rematch.
Its too hard to figure out what the Nets will be thinking but i'll go ahead and go with 65% chance the Bulls win.

So really, I think the Cavs vs. the Nets is the most likely loss of the 8 games that remain, however if they win that one, I see the Bulls with a few games where they could slip up, while I don't think the Cavs have a shot of losing to anyone but the Nets for the most part.

You must not have been paying much attention to the Cavs this year. They have a remarkable ability to not show up for games like these. I think we beat Atlanta and Milwaukee and drop one each to NJ and Philly.

I think Chicago ends up with the 2, setting us up for an early exit from the playoffs and hopefully a new coach that can actually coach an NBA team.

Toronto has 2 left against the Pistons. If the Heat win out there is a good chance that they could get to the 3 seed. If I was playing the Heat now I'd be hacking the shit out of Wade's bad arm every time he extends it.
