Head Coach
I also think that LBJ needs some props for the way that he stepped up and took the game over in the 3rd after that hard foul on Sasha...

I still don't know why Eric Snow plays outside of the final few minutes when we need his defense. Gibson should be getting a lot more minutes in this series. He should be taking 4-5 threes per game.
I also heard that it's very likely that Newble, Jones, and Marshall won't be back next year. Hopefully that will help our bench(replacing completely ineffective players with players that might be marginally effective).
Anyways, the offense is the big issue. Game management will come for Brown. He's an amazing defensive coach. You have to give him that. He's really gotten the Cavs into the elite defensively. Our offense just needs to be tweaked(a true PG that is talented enough to start also wouldn't hurt, but I digress...).
Wasn't Pollard talking retirement a while back?exhawg;840459; said:Pollard will most likely be gone unless he likes getting paid to wear suits to games or the Cavs trade Marshall and want to keep Pollard as the 4th big.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - The Cavaliers' closing mechanics might need a little oil, but it won't cost them a closing chance.

To put it mildly, they were a little unsteady down the stretch in Game 4 against the New Jersey Nets on Monday. But another heavy dose of gritty defense overcame it and allowed the Cavs to escape with a hard-fought 87-85 victory.
The win snapped the Nets' 10-game home winning streak, but more importantly, it put the Cavs ahead in the series 3-1. They'll have a chance to advance to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 1992 in Game 5 on Wednesday night in Cleveland.

Cavaliers tough it out with defense

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - When it meant the most, the Cavaliers were tougher than the New Jersey Nets.
That's why the Cavs have a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinals after their 87-85 victory over the Nets at the Meadowlands on Monday.
The Cavs won this game coach Mike Brown's way -- with Nets star Vince Carter trying to bull his way to the basket against Eric Snow.
In those final 10 seconds, with the Cavs leading by two points, the clock tick, tick, ticking....
The Nets' star was dribbling, dribbling, dribbling....
Snow, with his anvil of a forearm in Carter's back, his feet shifting from side to side to side, staying in front of Carter....

It's interesting to see so many negative posts regarding a team that is curently tied for having the best record in the playoffs.

East Rutherford, N.J. -- Dave DeBusschere, the final piece to the Knicks' championship jigsaw years ago, would say every time the playoffs rolled around: "When they put the money down, we'll be there."
It was a virtual pauper's age by the standards of today. But by most standards of playoff magnification, Monday night was a money game for the Cavaliers.
And when they put the ball down, anyway, the Cavs went down and got it.
The gritty, defensive fourth game of the second-round series went to the Cavs, 87-85, because New Jersey's Vince Carter made the times LeBron James pounds the ball at the top of the key look like the "hit the open man" Knicks at their finest.
