Just a heads up...

Mullens is playing in the jordan classic on ESPN 2 right now...Along with Buford...

I'm probably just having another blind moment, but I don't even see him on the bench.... :!

HOpefully he gets more touches and minutes than he did in the mcdonalds game...

Mullens looks un interested in this game...It is like he is stick of the all-star circuit, not getting the ball, etc...From reports from practice I think that is another thing to gather...THe announcers took it to a new extent bashing his practice habits because he didn't workout this morning with the team...

This is the same kid that in reprots goes to the gym at 6 in the morning before school...

It is pretty bad tho for big men in these games...

ya, this game is too fast paced for a big guy. its gotta get pretty boring for bj to be out there knowing that he wont touch the ball much. its all about individual effort in these all star games...sad

These all-star games are not a very good indicator for either of the future Buckeyes playing in them. Buford is an unselfish player known for his mid-range game and pretty tough in your face defense, and Mullens can only show when his teammates make an effort to get him involved.

BJ ran the floor very well tonight but was always just a little late and someone else got the bucket, he did show some good footwork and excellent hands. His defense looked pretty good, but his opponent seemed to always be taking him away from the bucket, so he could not help weakside, that won't happen as much in a structured defensive scheme, man or zone, and he'll be able to show off his athleticism on the defensive as well as the offensive end of the floor.

The important thing is that both guys came out of the all-star circuit healthy.

I agree on the weak side defense...I would of liked to see him come over from the weakside and get some blocks...He is a great team rebounder tho...he does a great job keeping his guy out, just need other guys to help him in rebounding...but his guy won't get it, and if it comes close to him he will get it...

Jordan Brand Classic player-by-player breakdown

7-1 C B.J. Mullens (Ohio State): Mullens ran the court well with the stallions on the Blue team. Once he got the ball, he finished with authority around the rim. He also showed his ability to step away from the basket and hit the 12-15 feet jumper. Mullens has the athleticism and frame to dominate on both ends of the court; he just needs to impose his will on games more often.
