BQ + a combination of other picks. BQ + 2nd + 4th would be appropriate IMO. I guess it would be worth gambling with Rodgers if they know they can get Raji at 5. 2nd and 4th might seem too costly, but you have to keep in mind that you're getting a young, franchise, pro-bowl QB in return.

I don't like trading proven talent, especially when that talent is a DT. a 2nd and 4th should be sufficient in a package with Brady Quinn. But there will be players available at 5 that would likely come in and contribute immediately.

I'd be willing to bet they HAVE to give up rogers to get the trade. Rogers would address a needed issue for denver...BQ could develop, and Mcdaniels doesnt' look like the town idiot. I'm not saying draft picks aren't great..They just tend to take time to develop, and Mcdaniels needs to win a few games after whatever further dust settles.

PFT is reporting that Cutler is a Chicago Bear. No other details yet.. but if I had to guess, I'd say it involves more than Kyle Orton and the 18th overall pick...

EDIT: Yup. Two firsts, a third, and Kyle Orton for Cutler and a fifth.

Wow. Didn't expect it to happen so quick.

Friend of mine who is the reason I follow the Broncos is not happy. I was on the phone with him when the news broke. He hates McDaniels already (he's not happy with Cutler, either).

I don't think this is a good fit at all. The Bears are a run-oriented team, and even if they decide to pass a lot more, their #1 is Devin Hester and their #2 is Rashied Davis. Neither of those guys are legit starting WRs in the NFL. Hester showed that he could be eventually, but he pretty much has speed going for him right now. Now they have a gunslinger who would fit best in a pass-first offense, and they're likely going to ask him to be more of a game manager than anything?

Considering the needs that the Bears have on both sides of the ball, they gave up a lot. This year's first round pick, (probably) next year's first round pick, and this year's third? Those are likely two starters and possibly a third starter. And Kyle Orton.

All that being said, a huge upgrade at the QB position for Chicago. They need to get a WR or two.

John Clayton isn't even mentioning a fifth rounder. It'll be interesting to find out what the truth is, because I agree with you. Four picks and a starting QB is too high a price. see: Hershell Walker, Ricky Williams, etc.

I'll take Clayton's word for now, but that's still too much.
