Still want to guarantee that?
That's a pretty intense workout, and there is no denying that...

Yep, I still do. I can still bench more than he can, and our triathlon workouts absolutely destroy his little 30-min treadmile forays. You think walking 3-4 miles on a golf course, with sustained stops every couple hundred yards, is as strenuous as running 6.2 miles--after swimming a half mile and biking 25 miles--all non-stop? Please...

Mili's still bragging about his bench press? :slappy:

Funny thing is, he's not even running a true triathlon.

I only consider the Ironman Triathlon a true triathlon.

i assume the 520 out of 567 participants who did better than milalinibuckeye at the tinman are also better athletes than Tigah.

Actually, I don't know how Mili did this year but I know he finished 632nd out of 768 participants last year. :slappy:

Dude clocked a blazing 22 minutes 20 seconds in the swim finishing 738 out of 768 participants.

I guess bicep muscle doesn't float so well.

Golf most certainly isn't as physically demanding. But running, biking and swimming aren't nearly as mentally demanding as golf. All sports require both physical and mental qualities. Each sport puts an emphasis on these attributes to a different degree.

I don't think Tiger could wake up tommorrow and compete in a triatholon. BUT... I will guarantee you that he's more than capable of training and conditioning himself to compete.

I also don't believe that Tiger would want to condition himself for a triatholon. Such a drastic change in strength and conditioning could affect your swing, which relies so much on consistency and pace.

As a guy that has done a bunch of them I disagree there Thumpster. If you swim bike and run, one after another, then it is a Triathlon. There are harder races out there that are not as long as the Ironman. It isn't only distance.

Shit, if I walk from the car, scratch my nuts, and then hit a golf ball that is a Triathlon in my eyes. But hey...I have low standards.

Tiger would be a hell of a Triathlete is he wanted, or tennis player or whatever. Dude's like that are specially gifted and normally are great at about everything they do. John Macenroe was an all american Lacrosse player as was Jim Brown.
