Golf most certainly isn't as physically demanding. But running, biking and swimming aren't nearly as mentally demanding as golf.
You couldn't be more wrong...

how exactly do you prove that telling yourself to "keep going" requires as much mental strength as all of the technicalities of precision sports like golf? You couldn't be more wrong...
If you swim bike and run, one after another, then it is a Triathlon.
please, leave me out of it. All I did was post a in response to a boastful post that was off topic.
So if I swim one lap, ride a bike 10 feet and then run 50 yards, it's considered a triathlon?
Ha!No, I think that's considered a miracle.
neither should you ... or Thump.
And why are you quoting his posts if you are on "ignore"? You guys are on ignore for a reason. Mili isn't trying to circumvent the forced ignore, neither should you ... or Thump.
Ha!
So today, I washed my car and got soaked from the water, rode my lawnmower, and then ran to get a beer. That makes me a triathlete right?

I'm sure millions of dollars and people were riding on your shots too, right? Like most of us, you severely lack the talent or mental strength (for golf) of tiger... but still enjoyed yourself b/c it was for fun.Because I've done four triathlons and played golf nearly every weekend for three years. It's not even close...not even in the same parsec.
a reasonable assessment... pretty hard to compare the two. Having run for soccer, I can certainly respect the enormous mental strength it takes for running. The precision of the mental aspect might differ a bit between the sports.Because it does. I have played tournment golf and obviously a bunch of endurance events, and they are both mental as hell. Clearly they are different in their mentality, but generally the mentally tougher athlete wins.
