First Kiffin gets ousted from USC, now it looks like Hoke may not be long for Michigan. They're taking the fun out of college football.

Either that, or Shane was pulling a Jedi mind trick on the entire staff.
It sure calls for more than the 15 yard penalty that was meted out in a game that was already over. Throwing him out of the game, which the rules call for, would not have been much of a punishment at that point for what was clearly a cheap and dangerous play. You'd boot #55 for Minnesota permanently for that hit, or one game? Read literally, your post suggests the former.
And, since South Carolina will no honor 4 year schollies, looks like the Old Ball Coach is giving up too.First Kiffin gets ousted from USC, now it looks like Hoke may not be long for Michigan. They're taking the fun out of college football.
I saw it live, and at first I didn't even think it warranted a flag. On a replay, it clearly did, and I'm still on the fence as to whether or not it warranted a "targeting" penalty. But, the kid wasn't being malicious. He was going for a big hit, got it, but hit Morris under the chinstrap instead of square in the chest. It's not like he was trying to concuss the poor scooter riding goof.It sure calls for more than the 15 yard penalty that was meted out in a game that was already over. As for Hoke, given all that has been shown and said about head trauma in the past few years there is no place in amateur athletics for a coach who has no more regard for a players safety than he displayed on Saturday.

Beave has been spinning harder than I've seen him since the Pryor recruitment. It's been fantastic reading.Looks like Brandon's "we're a bunch of incompetents" excuse has made its way to the Beave.
Blindsided that the media might ask a few questions about concussions after what happened on Saturday?
Blindsided that one of those questions might have been "Does he have a concussion?'"
Truly... we're to believe that Fat Garbageman cares about his players and he didn't even bother to talk to the Medical personnel about this? It never occurred to him to follow up with them?
Not sure if the thread I'm reading was once pay, I didn't see it before just a few minutes ago, but it looks like Sam Webb has a pretty good idea as to what's going on. Not that that's surprising.Beave has been spinning harder than I've seen him since the Pryor recruitment. It's been fantastic reading.
is what we're witnessing.
I detailed the in-game errors on the part of the coaching staff and the criticism in-the-moment that is warranted.
But as bad as the in-the-moment mistake was, what we have seen in the days subsequent is worse. Much worse. Why? Because what is now apparent is that even with the benefit of time the organization is so poor that the head coach wasn't give the necessary information to make a truthful statement at his press conference, and more importantly, to make a proper decision about practice availability the night prior. To be clear....the information was known within the department and it never made it to the guy that needed it most. That's a failure in communication so epic that "miscommunication" doesn't do it justice.
In the end I'm left feeling sorriest for Shane Morris. He could have been seriously hurt as a result of the miscommunication. Fortunately he wasn't. That's the only positive. It's all negative after that. There's no defense against coaches on the recruiting trail that claim Michigan can't accurately communicate whether or not a player is injured. There's no defense to parents that have questions along the same line.
I also feel for Brady Hoke, because while he deserves some of the blame for the in-the-moment error... what is happening now is clearly an example of a coach being hung out to dry.
The above is my opinion, and mine alone.
The following is my response to a challenge below of this opinion: http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=162&f=2019&t=13205087&stm=161915485
From what I've gathered over my years of reading that board, wrt recruiting Webb is a full-on sunshine pumper until there's a situation where there is just no sunshine to be pumped. But, for programmatic stuff, he can get pretty real as he seems to have solid connections, and his opinions are pretty grounded. Not sure if the thread I'm reading was once pay, I didn't see it before just a few minutes ago, but it looks like Sam Webb has a pretty good idea as to what's going on.
