They were a .500 team this season. They have lost two former stars living off past glories in Garnett and Pierce. It's not like LeBron and Wade leaving the Heat in their primes.
The biggest loss in Boston was Rivers. The team was already in transition. They just didn't accept it until after the season, nor did the media.
