Boise State in the NC game?

They'll take them over a match up that will interest few east of the Mississippi and no one south of the Mason Dixon line. Oregon-Boise is a ratings nightmare.

Absolutely right Jake; and Oregon is not the problem.

Anyone-Boise is a ratings nightmare.

Anyone-TCU is a ratings nightmare.

TCU-Boise is ratings armageddon.

All this is just my opinion at this point. The only fact I can offer is that if any of the above matches happen in the BCS-CG, I'm not going to watch it.

I disagree. I think Boise v. a blue chip program (Ohio State, Texas, Alabama etc,) would garner huge interest. Any college football fan would tune in to see if truck driver u. could once and for all back up their talk against one of the true big boys of college football.

Boysee v. Oregon....uhh, not so much. And, the worst part of it all, is that I think Boise could actually win that one although it would bare the lie that is Pac 10 strength.

...to you and me.

But it would feed the media's lazy, monkey-see-monkey-do narrative that the PAC-10 is the 2nd best conference and the only thing better in that part of the country is the mighty Potato Boys.

Disagree Boise isn't the Giants or the Rangers (MLB) where they are just barely enough underdogs to wear people don't care.

I'd compare Boise more to Baylor vs Duke (don't know if the ratings were good) or George Mason in the Final 4. If those two results rated poorly then you're probably right, but I think Boise vs a Big Boy would be huge ratings.

For whatever reason TCU - not so much.

Looks like the Boysee fans want a piece of Ohio State. At least some of their fans are bright enough to tell the dolts who demand a home-and-home that there is no [censored]ing way they get it with their high school stadium.

Perfect time to schedule Ohio State

Only Michigan State

is dumb enough to agree to play a game at Boise State.

THIS is Boysee. I like how he thinks he's being clever and intellectual but immediately resorts to academic smack against TIME magazine's "Best College President in America." I also like how he can't do that with his own school but has to live vicariously through TSUN. This guy might be the biggest [censored]ing asshole on the interwebs.

Ich Bin Nevadan. Friday evening, we are all Nevadans!

Dear Dr. Gee:

You are the President of The Ohio State University - a fine school, but one that currently trails The University of Michigan academically. Michigan's engineering program, Business School, MBA program, Law school, Medical school, etc., are all currently ranked ahead of Ohio State University. While you are competitive on the football field, your academics are still far behind.

You are an expert in academics, but you are a novice in athletics. You have not played college sports. You have not coached college sports. You have not written about college sports. And yet you see fit to make sweeping generalizations to the media about college sports. It would be in the best interest of your school and your career to focus on what you know best - just like Donald Haurin does in your economics department. You are ignorant when it comes to athletics. You admittedly know very little about football. You tout Ohio State's Football schedule, and belittle dozes of other teams and conferences around the country.

Yet Ohio State has the 56th toughest schedule in College football - not exactly the "gauntlet" that you think it is. Ohio State has only beaten 1 top-25 team in the country this year. TCU and BSU have both done that. You endorse a cartel that is both anti-competitive and un-American. And more of even greater significance, you have let your focus and expertise stray from catching Michigan in the classroom, where you are far behind, to speaking out on athletic topics that you know nothing about.

Please keep your ignorant, belittling comments on football to yourself. Maybe if you did, you could score at least one point against Michigan in the classroom.

Sincerely,

(My real name)

Lately, TSUN has to live vicariously through Boysee in football. Sounds like they were meant for each other.

The way I see it this is a perfect time to schedule Ohio State. Boise is in a win win situation. Either your fans get the game they want and a schedule upgrade or Ohio State is publically humiliated and the flaw in the BCS theory of nonAQ should just simply schedule thougher would be exposed. Things to consider thou:

1) Don't settle for a single game AT Ohio State. 1:1 at the least

2)Make sure Ohio State play AT Boise FIRST. That way they don't back out of the return game latter. (This has happened to the Warriors)

3) Call them out PUBICALLY. On ESPN or USA today, etc, should do it sometime before the Nevada game so it can be talked about during the game with the nation watching...That way it forces their hand.

THis idiot might have just helped Boise. i feel for boise because in 2007 , when hawaii was searching for a 13th game. teams like michigan decided to play App State. Any team could have played Hawaii because of the thirteenth game exemption, no one did...and everyone bitched about our schedule latter.

while I have no doubt Boise would stumble during the regular season in a big boy conference, I have zero doubt they would curb stomp a one-dimensional Auburn and very likely take Oregon to the wire.

Boise plays very disciplined defense and would absolutely expose Auburns secondary. Titus Young and Austin Pettis are salivating while they think about playing against that secondary....

Dear Truck Driver:

You are a graduate of the Boise State University School of Truck Driving - a fine school, but one that currently trails ITT Tech academically. ITT Tech's Paralegal program, Business Accounting School, Web Design program, Digital Entertainment & Game Design, Nursing school, etc., are all currently ranked ahead of Boise State University. While you are competitive on the football field, your academics are still far behind.

You are an expert in lot lizards, but you are a novice in athletics. You have not played college sports. You have not coached college sports. You have not written about college sports. And yet you see fit to make sweeping generalizations in your posts about college sports. It would be in the best interest of your school and your career to focus on what you know best - just like Red Sovine does when singing about your chosen field. You are ignorant when it comes to athletics. You know very little about football. You tout BSU Football reputation, and belittle dozes of other teams and conferences around the country.

Please keep your ignorant, belittling comments on football to yourself. Maybe if you did, you could score at least one point against Phoenix University Online in the classroom.

*sigh*
