Bitching about the 2004 Season

, piece of shit product on the field? How is that possible?

I do remember one game that was worse: When Penn St hung 63 on Cooper. That was the bottom.

That's not even close. That PSU team was one of the greatest of all time. To lose by 30 points to a team that will struggle to reach the Motor City Bowl? There is no fucking comparison.

We need to make some changes at both D-Coordinator, and we honestly need someone different than our O-line coach as Coordinator. Honestly I think because Bollman works with the O-line that he is blinded that we aren't as good as HE thinks in his mind. So maybe he doesnt' really see those flaws? Maybe he can still be Oline coach but if we got a new O-coordinator he'd have an outsiders view on how our line is and make calls accordingly.

Our Defense is just too talented to be doing what it is........ Thats why it hurts sometimes to watch these guys play.

Keep fighting buckeyes!! GO BUCKS!!

Ted Ginn Jr. Said it best....... "We have to much talent to be doing what we're doing."

We wont the past 2 years with Classes that Cooper Recruited so much can be given credit to Cooper for helping us get that talent. This is Tressels group now and he's been given time along with his staff to develope these players. The talent is there guys its just the preparation these coaches give to these kids that failing us.

We should no doubt be beating ever team with the talent we have. Maybe our Rb's and Oline aren't world beaters but my god we should be able to get some yards. THIS IS OHIO STATE not some 1-AA team.

GO BUCKS!!

watching the game

I'm curious if i am alone or if others are also doing the same...

from 1973 through early-to-mid 2003 i made a day that revolved around watching....or in the old days listening....to the ohio state buckeyes football games...

somewhere around early-to-mid 2003 i became almost apathetic regarding the first 58 minutes of the game...knowing that the final minutes are the only reason to watch the game...

now...in 2004....i am now to the point that i (for the first time in my life) really could have cared less if i saw a game live when the bucks played wisconsin...i had something better to do....and today's game i only caught live in bits and pieces for the same reason....

the buckeyes for three years have been less than entertaining......and flat out either heart wrenching or annoying....

am i the only one that could care less if i see the indiana game...???
I know what you mean, I watched today in bits and pieces but mostly because i was at work. At home I would have suffered through it, But wish I had guts enough to leave. I supose I will watch Indiana Mostly because we might not lose by as much as we did this week.Anyway hang in there and get a lot of things done this week because Buckeye football is hurting right now.

why would you want to keep a guy who has done less with more for for four straight years to stay around??? the OL is terrible, and is a direct result of Bollman's coaching... we already have the OL coach that we need in Peterson... get Bollman's fat ass outta here!!!

and for Heaven's sake! BUY A DAMN BLOCKING SLED!!! AND USE IT!!!!

remember kids: Tressel didn't win his first title at YSU until the year AFTER Bollman's fat ass left Youngstown...

Every QB who is actually starting this year has better numbers than our dynamic duo.

So, were they really the worst two players at the Elite 11 camp or have they just recieved the worst coaching? It has to be one or the other.

I think that although criticism of the teams performance is fair, you all may be taking it a little far. Keep in mind we did beat three D-1 schools already. Now are there problem? Your damn right there are problems, but lets try to be reasonable in our criticism. This team would roll all over Mount Union, or Capital, and we are performing up to a D-1 level, just not a very good D-1 school.

I caught myself saying that we couldn't win consistantly in the Sun Belt Confrence this year, but that is not true, but we wouldn't be dominant either which is the real problem.

The only thing I would say to that is you could be the most brilliant offensive mind in the world, but if you have an O-line incapable of execution, you will fail.

IMHO the O-Line scheme is failing, but the play calling I still believe is sound in theory, but certainly not in performance.

There's a lot of underclassmen spoiled by winning - and two of the four captians are not in a position to take over a game (Nuge, Fox).

I think that this is true. Also when looking at this class I think that most thought that Hall/Ross would be an awesome 1-2 punch for 2-3 years. Obviously it didn't work out that way. Hall I hink could have lead well, but just with his knees can't be the difference maker on the field to lead.

I also hate to say it, because I am a big fan of his, but I think Mangold has got to be more of a leader on the offensive line, with help from Sims. They can't block for them, but I haven't seen them get emotional, or firey yet.
