now...in 2004....i am now to the point that i (for the first time in my life) really could have cared less if i saw a game live when the bucks played wisconsin...i had something better to do....and today's game i only caught live in bits and pieces for the same reason....

the buckeyes for three years have been less than entertaining......and flat out either heart wrenching or annoying....

You have just described a "fair weather fan"

I would love to be able to see the Indiana game.

Dihard,
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that alcohol and keyboards don't mix. Nobody's happy about our current situation, but this too shall pass.

im as sober as any person can possibly be......nothing but water, nachos, wings and sprite for me today....

what you call a fair weather fan i call a realistic fan....this team sucks and there are better things i can do with my time than sit through a painful experience of watching a football game....

i guess i am just supposed to go stupidly through my days supporting a pathetically inept team.....

you are the one who needs to re-examine your position.....

Sunday's Akron Beacon Journal... early edition...

The coach was asked how the Buckeyes can stop their three-game slide.
"You stop it by getting better and deserving to win,'' he said. ``We haven't deserved to win any of our Big Ten games.''

I'm a JT fan and supporter... but there's gotta be a better answer than this one to make us feel more confident

artillery....

i will never, never abandon the bucks....to the day i die the buckeyes will be my one and only favorite sports team in existence....i dont care if they lose 100 games in a row...

sorry for the confusion....but i really do find the style of play too agitating for me to watch anymore.....i mean it really has come to a point that i dont ENJOY watching ohio state play anymore....

so...for my own health purposes....i have had to back off ....

i dont know if that makes sense or not....but i was letting the style of play affect my whole personality....and that is wrong....

edit: these feelings also started before the losing began....

i agree.. when you consistently get top recruiting classes (at least, recruiting classes that are better than those of northwestern, wisconsin, and iowa anyhow) you should be able to get those players to perform at a higher level than the players from those teams..

if we come away with more than 5 losses this year with the recruiting classes that we've had in recent years, its definitely a lack of player development by the coaching staff because i know there arent 5 teams in the big ten that have more physical talent than we do..

I will alwys be a Buckeye fan forever, and I will never pass up an opportunity to see them play at the Shoe. That said, I agree w/ Di Hard sorta-the games are not fun to watch anymore. NC State and K-State were exceptions, but in general it has been agonizing to watch this team-the same ineptness week after week on offense. I had to stop watching the game today at halftime, and I certainly didn't feel any regret about it.

Di: I'm right with you man. How can a goddamned coach with 18 years of experience and 5 National Championships put such an ill-prepared, piece of shit product on the field? How is that possible?

I do remember one game that was worse: When Penn St hung 63 on Cooper. That was the bottom.

Question: What is the over/under on when the dumbasses start wanting Cooper back?

i gotta go with DiHard here... i love the Buckeyes more than anyone i know, but since i spend the vast majority of my fall Saturdays in the Sports Book, i have an opportunity to watch a lot of Good Football Teams... Ohio State ain't one of 'em... especially on Offense... the D bailed us out the last couple seasons, but that won't cut it anymore... i really hope that the "Tresselball" experiment ends after this abyssmal season is over... because i see too many good offenses every week to bear watching the coaching staff squander our talent so wantonly...

is it any wonder that Fred Davis decided to go to USC? who would want to play for these Mickey Mouse coaches?
