Indiana senior forward D.J. White has been double trouble for opponents this season.

The reigning Big Ten Player of the Week is averaging 16.6 points and 10.9 rebounds for the league-leading Hoosiers. Last week, White became the first Indiana player in more than a decade to have a 20-20 game when he finished with 21 points and a career-high 22 rebounds against Michigan.

?He?s been our rock,? Hoosiers Head Coach Kelvin Sampson said. ?If there?s one kid from a maturity standpoint who handles things on a daily basis and doesn?t have many highs and lows, it?s D.J.

This is crazy. We demolish Iowa and I know it was a home game for us but I will I the Iowa/Purdue game last night and I just shake my head wondering how we ever lost to Purdue. I also know that was a road game for us but they aren't that good.

It's not all that crazy when you consider that we have one starter back and it is normal to have ups and downs in the play of the team. Last year with Oden and Conley we went through the same thing.

Right now we are currently 3-2 in conference...

Here is our remaining schedule...

I put a W beside the games I believe that we will win, a W besides the ones that I think we will lose and ??'s beside the games that I feel are toss ups...

Tue. Jan. 22 - Illinois W
Sat. Jan. 26 - Minnesota W
Tue. Jan. 29 - at Penn State W
Sat. Feb. 2 - at Iowa W
Tue. Feb. 5 - Michigan W
Sun. Feb. 10 - Indiana ??
Wed. Feb. 13 - at Northwestern W
Sun. Feb. 17 - at Michigan W
Sat. or Sun. Feb. 23 or 24 - Wisconsin ??
Tue. Feb. 26 - at Indiana L
Sat. or Sun. Mar. 1 or 2 - at Minnesota ??
Tue. Wed. or Thur. Mar. 4, 5 or 6 - Purdue W
Sun. Mar. 9 - Michigan State ??

So I think for sure we will get up to 11 wins in conference...Then there are 4 toss ups, 3 of them are at home and one on the road...So lets say that we go 2-2 for arguments sake...

That would make us 13-5 in conference...21-9 overall...

I would think with a win or two in the big ten tourney we would be in the tourney for sure...

Now if we turn the corner and upset Wisky, Indiana and win at Minny or say drop one of those games, we have a very good shot IMO to be staring at our last game of the season for a chance to win the big ten crown again...

I still believe that Indiana will win the crown, but they have a tough stretch coming up after their OOC game with UCONN where things could get dicey for them and they might drop 2 or 3 games...

I think it will be a 3 or 4 loss team(s) that ends up taking home the big ten crown this year...The top 6 teams are very solid and even teams like Illinois and maybe PSU (losing Claxton killed them) could pull upsets...

We are gunning for our 3rd big ten crown in a row...Lets keep the faith guys...:osu:

Indiana guard Eric Gordon drives past Penn State's Jeff Brooks for two of his 25 points in a Big Ten win over the Nittany Lions.

No. 9 Indiana 81, Penn State 65 -- Eric Gordon scored 25 points, D.J. White added 22 and Indiana, despite keeping the same lineup on the court the entire second half, wore down Penn State in a Big Ten game in Bloomington, Ind.
"It was a slow-paced game. They were zoning us," Indiana coach Kelvin Sampson said. "Usually you make a substitution for fatigue or for foul trouble. But I liked the way they were playing, so I saw no reason to make a substitution."
Indiana (16-1, 5-0) won its 27th straight home game and stretched its winning streak this season to 12 games, its longest in 15 years.

No. 11 Michigan State 78, Minnesota 73 -- Held to two points in the first half and struggling through a shooting slump in the first four games of the Big Ten season, Drew Neitzel made five three-point shots in the final 20 minutes to lead Michigan State (16-2, 4-1) over Minnesota (12-5, 2-3) in a Big Ten game in Minneapolis.

Man, I'm glad that the Weasels hired that genius Beilein!

I think we should all enjoy the Weasels bad times this year and probably next but once Belien gets his type of players and they understand his system they will be in the upper half of the Big 10 but it will take at least another year.

No. 11 Wisconsin 64, Michigan 61 -- Marcus Landry and Michael Flowers scored 14 points and Wisconsin (16-2, 6-0) held off Michigan (5-14, 1-6) in a Big Ten game in Madison, Wis.
The Wolverines had a chance to take the lead trailing 59-58 with less than a minute left, but Manny Harris lost the ball as he drove the lane surrounded by Badgers. Joe Krabbenhoft grabbed the ball then Landry made a three-pointer at the other end.

Beilein will never get the Weasels into the first division of the B11. He's no better than Monsoon, Alford, and the other couldn't-hack-its that have recently passed through our league (and Carmody, who is dead-man-walking).
