A season such as this would have been unthinkable during Michigan's Fab Five days.
Instead of playing for a national championship, the Wolverines are struggling to get out of the Big Ten basement.
Tuesday's 65-55 loss at Ohio State was Michigan's sixth straight defeat. The Wolverines have lost nine of 10 league games and 17 of 20 overall since opening the season with wins over Radford and Brown.
A roster with eight underclassmen and just eight "true" scholarship players has made Head Coach John Beilein's first season challenging. The third-toughest schedule in the country according to the RPI rankings has not helped.

MSU: 5-3 (losses @Purdue, @IU, @Wisc) - finish 13-5
OSU: 4-3 (losses @IU, Wisc, MSU) - finish 11-7
I really wanted to give OSU the win against MSU to finish out the regular season, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. And lord knows there will be some upsets in this mix. Hopefully none involving OSU being upset. :)

Two of the top teams in the Big Ten get together in Bloomington this evening, as the 13th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers play host to the 15th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers.
The Hoosiers have won three straight games to move to 20-3 overall and an impressive 9-1 in Big Ten play. Kelvin Sampson's team was in Columbus on Monday, getting by Ohio State in a defensive battle, 59-53.
The Badgers aren't far behind in the league standings at 9-2, but come into this game following a 72-67 setback to league leading Purdue last weekend. The loss was just the fourth this season for Wisconsin, and halted a three-game win streak for the Badgers. Indiana maintains a sizeable advantage in the all-time series with Wisconsin (94-56), but it is the Badgers looking for the regular season sweep, after knocking off the Hoosiers in Madison on January 31st, 62-49.

I do not understand why you say that. Northwestern is very limited in the type of athlete that they can bring in due to do their academics. Maybe you know something about Carmody than I do not put for the majority of games he seems to give other teams fits. It is almost harder to recruit at Northwestern for basketball than it is for football because you can cover some positions up in football whereas in basketball it's only 5 guys on the court.DaytonBuck;1091726; said:I'd be shocked if Bill Carmody isn't axed after this year
They deserved to lose on a bank shot at home because Gordon beat them with a similar bank shot at Wisconsin.crazybuckfan40;1091750; said:Butch with a bank in 3 for Wisky to knock off IU @ Assembly Hall tonight...
