Guess the 3 Pac12 teams will raise the level of the Big12 academic footprint. Thought that the Pac12 would raid many/most of the MW conference to keep itself alive. Guess not. Wonder if Cal leaves the Pac12 for ?, will that take away the UCLA blood money? Cal is the 'leading school/HQ' for the UC system. Guess they were punishing their 'child' - UCLA for leaving the house without permission. Maybe there will be a league of Independents, featuring none other than Notre Dame, Stanford, Cal, and ?. Maybe FlaSt will announce their independence to join? Dunno that there is the viewer weight to carry a significant TV rights package. Anyone know more than that? LIV $ coming to CFB?

So what we have now is two feeder conferences for the NFL. Minor league system that pays some astounding amounts of money if you believe the hype. Minor league baseball pays shit yet manages to keep enough players going. Minor league basketball has not made it. I wonder how long NIL is sustainable.

Just heard the big ten is thinking of going to a 10 game schedule. Wow talk about pissing off your new members. These games go from annual to never:
USC ND
UCLA Cal
Washington vs st
Oregon vs st
Plus Iowa vs st

All so they can muscle in ND before Stanford ends up somewhere else. Just let ND run free. For the most part only the old Crusty fans want ND in the conference. I don’t want ND to see one penny of big ten money, I don’t care if it makes more for us. I hope nbc gives them just enough to keep them independent.

As long as they make the lift for ND into the CFP a whole lot harder than they currently enjoy.

Why? I'm probably wrong, but I would have thought this won't affect the MAC games. Big Ten teams still want 7 home games, and 5 away games. If we go to 10 conference games, we'll have 5 home and 5 away - there's no way to do a home/away with big-name opponents. But we can still do a home game with a MAC team and a home game against San Diego State or other nerd team.

I guess it might depend on playoff expansion, and how the conference determines it's champion. If it is one conference championship game and a 4 or 8 team playoff, then maybe they stay at 12. But if there are "conference playoffs" and then "NCAA playoffs" at 16 teams or 32 teams, say, then they might go with 10 or 11 games in the regular season maybe? Do FCS teams play 10?
