If Jim Delany wants to log the entire Greenbrier National Forest just so he can burn "I love you UNC" into the hillside, then that's what he's going to do, and I don't suspect many fucks will be given for what some mountain-biking kumbaya-singing hippie in West Virginia thinks about.

well, either way, no matter who joins, whether it's 18 or 20 teams, be interesting to see how they would do the divisions, I know pod system has been talked about a ton

seems to be the only guarantee would be one pod would include (hypothetical) FSU, UNC, Ga Tech and UVA (basically a southeastern pod)

Except replace FSU with Duke, because FSU won't be coming to the B1G.

FSU has a better chance than Duke
You're entitled to your opinion, but I think you couldn't be more wrong.

If FSU gets an invitation, I'll drink Charles Shaw "wine" for a couple of days. That shows just how confident I am.

BTW, I'm not saying it's a guarantee, but you guys immediately shoot it down like it's a 0% when I say it's 50/50, maybe even 60/40 they join..

But I do think it's close to a guarantee B1G will end up with either ND or FSU, MAYBE both, but at least one of those 2

Until FSU gets a AAU membership they will not be in the B1G.

But Nebraska had one other criterion vital to Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany and the conference's presidents and chancellors: membership in the AAU.

What is the supposed allure of Florida State (besides the girl in the cowboy hat from a few years ago)? Relatively small school, in Tallahassee, third-tier academics, almost zero athletic success outside of football (which has underachieved of late... or reached its equilibrium post-DaddyBob dadgummit), no one in the South, outside of north FL and south GA, cares about it so you're not exactly pulling in much of an additional tv market... their colors are hideous... In short, could someone explain why they're even part of Big Ten speculation with nothing in common with Big Ten schools? Anyone can bang the white trash, semi-hot chick in the bar... but should you just because you can?
