Best College Player This Decade?

buchtelgrad04

Pain is an opinion.
  • I was recently on a Florida Gators forum, and everybody there told me that Tebow was the best college player of the 2000's. I disagree. He's very good, but I hardly think he's the best this decade. Who's your choice?

if Tebow wins a second Heisman it'd be hard to argue. I think a few players are in the same class.

    Tebow
    Reggie Bush
    Vince Young

It's sad, but I think Mo C could have been in the discussion as well....assuming he stayed healthy his sophmore/junior years.

Vince Young. No offensive player has been able to single-handedly do what he did against great defensive units.

Honestly though, let's say Tebow plays a knockout game, and carries florida over oklahoma. Besides doing that, having 2 national titles, and for sure one heisman...What else did Vince Young do?

Tebow would be in the discussion

Trying to pick the best at 1 position is hard enough, let alone trying to compare players at every position

I think a pretty good list to start off with be would be (in no particular order)

    Tim Tebow (Florida)
    Vince Young (Texas)
    Reggie Bush (USC)
    Larry Fitzgerald (Pittsburgh)
    Adrian Peterson (Oklahoma)
    Glenn Dorsey (LSU)
    James Laurinaitis (Ohio State)
Mike Nugent (Ohio State) [Kickers need love too]

Really theres so many people you could name though

That's true. Tim doesn't strike me as a kid who's gonna leave school early, so I can definitely see him returning for his senior season.

I would have to go with Vince Young or Reggie Bush. They were unbelievable.

How do you guys feel about Jimmy Fuckin' Clausen? Is he up there??

Vince was just a man among boys out there. Tebow is amazing but in a different way. If Tebow wins a title as the starting QB, and another Heisman, I don't think you can make a case for Vince.

I'd caution on Tebow's first title...Chris Leak was the starter, and took 90% of the snaps that season.

I'd take A.J. Hawk over Lil' Animal faster than a ESS-EEE-CEE foot race.
