Can someone smarter than me please explain why Kelley Washington was inactive for this game, and thus unable to fill in for Chris Henry after he went down early with the injury? Is it typical for a team to make one of it's primary backups inactive?

I believe Washington has been inactive most of the season due to roster limitations. The game Henry missed due to his marijuana incident, Washington was active and had a productive game.
Basically, seems like an odd-man-out type deal. He isn't a special-teams player like Kevin Walter or Tab Perry, so it doesn't make much sense to have him as a fourth receiver over one of those guys.

That game broke my heart. What a bummer way to end a good season. We would have killed the Steelers with CP. What did the big bad ol Steelers running game have, like 49 yards at the end of the third quarter?

I don't think it would mattered with Palmer in there. Steelers were doing what they wanted on offense. The Steelers sat on the ball the whole 4th quarter and still ended up with 31 points. Big Ben was outstanding. Cowher called a great game in the playoffs for once.

So probably the most classiest player on the Steelers was going for a cheap shot. What the fuck ever. When the NFL fines Kimo then you can talk. Go cry me river like your boy Chad Johnson did during the end of the game. He has the gall to say the Bengals are going to the Super Bowl and then once he loses in the playoffs he shakes nobody's hands. What a puss.

Sure looks like your Classy player is looking at his knee to me. It isn't like he did not know what he was leaning against and twisting. It might not have been intentional, but it sure as fuck could have been avoided. I'd say it's 50-50 if there will be a fine.
No way not even close. With CP we would have racked up more points than with Kittna. They only reason the Steelers sat on the ball was becasue they were AHEAD! If we are scoring, Cowher and the ball controll O is fucked. He isn't a genius, I could call a game with Kittna as the other teams QB. Big Ben was better than Kitna if that makes you feels any better.

The Steelers were down 10-0 and 17-7 and still won. How wasn't the ball control fucked then? If the Steelers had to score more points they would have. That was my point. They sat on the ball in the 4th quarter and still ended up with 31. If the Bengals were within one score the whole game, 40+ points was not out of the realm of possibility against the porous Begnals defense. Hence the reason why the Steelers would have won in a shootout.

Thank you for making the point I was just going to make. Folanator's pic actually defends Kimo. Kimo was trying to make a play while falling after Steinbach blocks him. Palmer also still has the ball in that picture.
