Bengals versus Steelers, part III

Poor Carson Palmer! :shake: I was really pumped for this game, believing that Cincy would win. But after Palmer went down, it was pretty much over. Damn I would have loved to have seen Cincy throw Krenzel in there!!!
Oh well... there's always next season...

For all of you who think the Bengals would have won had Palmer not gotten hurt, the defense still gave up 31 points; and Pittsburgh could have scored more, had they wanted to. For the record, Palmer does not play defense.

Sure the D gave up 31, but they also gave up 31 against the Steelers early December and won, so who knows how many points Carson could've put up against the Steelers last Sunday (my guess would be more than 17). Still I enjoyed the Bengal season and am praying for a healthy CP and beefed up D next year.

With a little luck we may also see Bobby Carpenter suit up for the Bengals next year.

I'd be pretty surprised. It seems (with Pollack, Thurman, and Simmons) that we will be in pretty good shape for LB and I don't know that Carp would have the size to move to DE in the NFL. Now, if they were to move Pollack down on the line full time (which I don't see happening), I would love to see Carp in Cincy as the OLB opposite Simmons.

I expect a DL or safety for the first pick and I'm sure Carp will be gone by the Bengal's pick in the 2nd round.

On a good note, Palmer's knee was damaged less than was originally thought according to the radio. He had surgery and the MCL was fine, the ACL was repaired and he should be good to go by Spring Training.
