This is a rematch of the 1973 national championship game, where Notre Dame (11-0-0) defeated Alabama (11-1-0) in the Sugar Bowl, 24-23. That season, Ohio State (10-0-1) finished #2 in the AP poll.

So do I, but I don't think it's going to happen. After the SEC CG slugfest, I think ND's D is going to smother anything 'Bama can throw at them. And the celebrated Saban's 'Bama D is not that staunch if it allows Georgia to score so many points. Hate to say it, but ND's gonna win this one.ORD_Buckeye;2270738; said:

I think that Bama will roll Notre Dame in an embarrassing way. Notre Dame has looked very average against a much easier schedule, which has flattered their defense a bit. Washington also held Stanford to 13 points. They don't have enough punch on offense to go toe-to-toe with Bama.
Personally, with bowl prep, I like the Buckeyes chances against Notre Dame right now. I wouldn't like the odds against Bama.
