BCS Title Game: ND + 9.5 vs Alabama (ov/un 41.5)

Nutriaitch, whats the consensus you've seen among SEC teams regarding the Irish vs. Crimson Tide matchup? Are they sticking with Bama? Irish generally accepted that the SEC would stick together and root for the Tide, with an exception to Auburn and maybe one or so other schools. Just saw Auburn is making a War Irish shirt, kinda cool looking:

Bama has taken some hits at WR recently which will not help them attack the ND secondary. This is not a great Bama team so I'm trending towards a ND win but if Satan can get the Tide motivated, Bama could throttle them and come away with a convincing win. It probably will be a very boring game.

there is no consensus that I can see.

i would guess that the bottom half is probably pulling for Bama so they can be proud they finished last in same conf as champ (again).

not sure about fans of the top half.

LSU fans I've seen are surprisingly split.

a slight majority agrees with me that a Bama win is probably the absolute worst thing that could possibly happen for LSU.
a slightly smaller number seem to feel that way about ND (mostly old people).

and of course, we have our faction of "SEC, SEC, SEC" wackos as well.

i already forgot about UGA.

fucking Gumps needed an extra game to beef up their schedule, and they still didn't play as many top 10 teams as Florida, A&M, or LSU.

must be fucking nice to have the conference offices in your backyard with an alum making these "bridge schedules" this year and next.
