Casually reading some of the leading Midwestern papers a few days after the blowout on Monday. The response from Domer fans is absolutely absurd.

The overwhelming majority of them blame steriods as the issue for the blowout. Alabama (and by proxy, SEC Teams) win because of steroids.

Not Saban, better players, better execution, better recruiting/development. It's steriods - HAS TO BE RIGHT?

This is more along the lines of what I was referring too. Openly supportive ND people claiming steroids were the reason for the blowout.

Pardon the shock then. I have just never thought to go down the PED route in terms of complaints.
When we got our ass kicked by Sakerlina and Florida (in years past) I think most Dawg fans concluded we need better players or FIRE RICHT, FIRE BOBO (OC).

Nobody really ever concluded it was steroids.
I guess when you spend your year playing BYU, PITT, Navy, Wake, Da U, Perdue...etc
You tend to get an inflated sense of how big/athletic your players really are.

I guess having lived through a period just now where Tressel handed scUM its shirt on an annual basis, I've heard everything under the sun from those idiots north of the border in the way of excuses for why it happened. Considering they say ND's fan base is at least even keel with scUM fans when it comes to being arrogant whiners, I'm not surprised they've taken the PED route to explaining Monday's game.
