I can agree with that, but if I hear one more dumbass who says "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH UGA SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE TITLE GAME" I will smack a bitch. If you're not considered the best team (or in UGA's case, second best team before the SEC title game) in your conference, HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU BE THE BEST IN THE COUNTRY?
[nerdy Mark Richt impression on] Technically there is no rule that says you have to be a conference champion to play in the BCS title game. [end impression]

Screw Georgia and the dog they rode in on.

And that is because, as Jim Rome so eloquently put it, IT'S FUCKING COMMON SENSE!

Man, it was really disappointing going and watching the Buckeyes get beaten in the Superdome. That with all the abuse that was dished out by the LSU fans before, during and after the game.

Personally, my conclusion is that this was still a terrific year for the Buckeyes. We won the Big Ten outright once again, and this was supposed to be a "rebuilding" year. With the recruits that we have and the talent already waiting in the wings, I can't wait to attend the next bowl game against an SEC team. And when we win, I will show them that we are also the best damn fans in the land! We will show some class in victory!

Go Bucks!

Have not touched this thread or watched any TV or listened to the radio.

Instead today I went to my 4 year old's school and was the surprise guest reader. I read to her class "Miss Marry Mack".

Yeah, but can Miss Mary Mack pass block? What is her '40 time?

Less than half a foot.

That is about the distance he was from blocking the football. When he dives, he didn't have the time to sit down, and calculate the proper angle he should take if he wants to block the ball, he went in on football instinct, like anybody else would. He was either going to get the ball, or get a flag.

Unfortunatelty for us, he got the flag. Can't fault him for playing balls to the walls.

The biggest problem was that he shouldn't have gotten to him at all. They did a weird spread pattern that opened a huge hole. He went right up the middle and couldn't get an angle on him. I didn't see a single block on him, which he had to be expecting. Weird...

Extreme reluctance? Didn't seem to be any hesitation to me. I would agree that some of the PF.. well.. really, the only one that sticks out to me at the moment was the first one, late hit OB that wasn't really a late hit OB.. were garbage, but the officials didn't steal this one from the Buckeyes.

LSU executed better than Ohio State did. Plain and simple.

Wow...Tressel was losing it because they weren't making the call, and the announcers had time to replay the intentional grounding before a flag came out.

I agree, LSU executed better than OSU. But I would have liked to see the same criteria applied to both teams actions by the refs. Strange how the highest penalized team became perfect, and one of the least penalized teams couldn't move without drawing a PF.

That is what LSU fans have come to call "punt ugly". Most fans hat it, because we often come VERY close to having punts blocked. Fortunately, we haven't had 'em blocked yet. I've heard that the idea behind it is that guys on the line can release quicker to get downfield after the kick.

If I were you, I'd use it a LOT more! From 4th and 23 to 1st and 10, with 15 yards to boot. Just make sure you have a few spare kickers around after he gets clobbered

Having said all that, when I was done reading I asked the class to give me a "GO BUCKS!". The teacher promptly told me "no no no, in this class it's GO BLUE". Turns out she had two daughters that went to Meatchicken.

Hey Folanator, why don't you give our good skunkbear buddy that teacher's contact info just in case .

Actually, like field goals, they can fake it out of that formation and it slows down the rush. Seriously, last night was the first time I saw Fisher touched all year long.
