Well, to be sure, the consensus argument that B1G fans are now using is a full 180 degrees from what they were saying in 2006 as well.

Umm... wrong. Michigan wanted a rematch. We wanted 42-39 to mean something. Just as 9-6 should mean something, but now it's just a glorified exhibition that caused LSU to have to play an extra game.
