The major media Oregon whore-fest has already started...I heard people during the Penn State game, the Miami game, the Cal-Stanford game, the South Carolina game, and halftime shows all saying how Oregon should go, they "only lost to USC", they're getting hosed because they aren't a "traditional" program, they'd be better in Tempe than a "East Coast or Midwest team" blah, blah, blah.

That said, Oregon has no chance over us at all...so screw 'em.

Ohio State vs. Notre Dame in the Fiesta would be an incredible way to end the season. At least the weather would be warm out there and we wouldn't have to look at Charlie Weiss snotting all over himself. Do they not sell kleenex in South Bend???

Gee, do you think that Phil Knight might have any influence over any of these media guys? Sorry, watched the Civil War today. Do no try to compare it to The Game in any way. The other "OSU" is not very good. For that matter, other than USC, neither is the PAC-10.

If USC were to lose that won't make anything complicated... they'll go Texas 1, USC #2 and then the rest..... losing one game in their past like 3,000 wont' drop them at all....

Seriously now that Miami Lost what happens if Va Tech wins the ACC??

Heres My guess.....

-Rose- Texas/USC

Fiesta -tOSU/ND

Sugar-LSU/WVU

Orange- VaTech/PSU

Yep, that Montana win is key...of course is Fresno somehow by some miracle beats USC, that could complicate things a lot....
you're underestimating the logic that the computers have (when pollsters do not). They will see that even with the win over USC, Fresno is not the greatest team. A USC loss will hurt oregon's chances more.

I can't see Fresno jumping into the bcs either. they should get the "other automatic bid offered to all other conferences including the big east" but that is only available in an intelligent system.
Seriously now that Miami Lost what happens if Va Tech wins the ACC??
hopefully they'll lose to FSU (which I think is very possible). That being said, we can hope that pollsters realize that the ACC is vastly overrated (Miami, Va Tech & FSU all with crushing losses)

I really don't think there is anyway we won't get in. I see us playing Notre Lame in the Fiesta, or if the Fiesta wants PSU instead of us we will play in the orange against the winner of Va Tech/FSU.

And by the way fuck Oregon, they haven't beat anyone and they play in the pac-10. Our loses are to two of the top 3 teams in the country.

So if USC loses any chance the BCS decides to make a playoff and we could just settle all this bullshit on the field.

Miami just lost and now they are bound to drop. Which will make PSU go to number 3. What if USC was to lose this year? It's quite possible. Then it could be a big possibility that PSU could jump to number 2. Then that would most likely put PSU and UT in the Rose Bowl. Which are the two teams we lost to. That would definitely make us look good (considering we played them both evenly, and lost by a combined 10 points). I also believe that if PSU went to the Rose Bowl that we would get the Big Ten BCS bid. Am I right?

I'm not trying to get ahead of myself, but this would be really cool.

:oh: :io:

herbstreit on sportscenter just brought up the scenario of the orange bowl taking psu, which leaves the fiesta bowl the proposition of taking oregon. the pac 10 would likely create a lot of pressure to select oregon, and oregon is much closer to arizona (as if it makes that much of a difference; osu would still travel and outspend oregon).
