I agree 100%, speed doesn't equate to success. I'm a firm believer that execution and attitude is the kicker.

I watched most of th '02 Championship game today on Classic and scUM South was faster... fat lot of good it did them. I thought our players addressed it well in the interviews. To paraphrase, they said as long as they stay with their assignments and don't overpursue, they can contain UF's speed. If their defensive front can't get off their blocks, all the speed in the world won't help them.

To me that sounds like Tressel told them to be as professional as possible. Ohio State has been there in the past and it's their second consecutive trip to Arizona. I'm sure they are ecstatic to be in the championship game but after having 50+ days of practice, the last thing they probably want to do is sit there for hours talking and answering media questions. I think the Buckeyes just want to play the game.

Speed is just as essential as execution and attitude. Back when Earle played Fla St. in Cols. They whipped our butt with speed. In 2002 we beat Miaml in spite of their speed. We have lost 7 games to SEC teams with speed.
It is possible that overall Fla does have more speed than we do. It is one of the things that is the strentgh of their team.

The question is do we have the speed and execution and attitude to overcome their speed and vice versa.
We have to keep Harvin inside and contained and we have to play very disciplined and stay at home agianst this tricky offense. I don't believe they will be able to run straight up against us.
Do these things and we will win.

Hey guys, I was just curious if you had any alligator meat. I heard that the Columbus area Meijers are selling it for $10.99/lb. If so, I want to know if it was good.

OK thats it I can't wait anymore, I'm tired of nondescript threads and football games that do not include the Buckeyes.
I am calling the bowl right now and telling them to start the game.
I need all of you to start calling also.
I won't last another two days, start calling, dagnabbit.

Aligator meat is kind of chewy and tastes like chicken... it's on the menu at several restaurants down here in enemy territory.
