I was expecting a little more aggressive play from the defense tonight and more aggressive play calling from the d-coordinator to be honest.

#3 Where was the run play? I don't feel like they truely 'stopped the run' in the first half. I feel like we didn't give the run a chance. I feel like we put the yoke squarely on Troy's shoulder (or arm) and said 'let's do this'. Big mistake, imo. We didn't give Pittman a chance. especially in the first and second quarters, when it mattered most.

We score to make it 21-14; defense forces a 3 and out. I fully expected to see some running at that time with Pitt and Beanie. The 3 failed pass plays that led to our own punt had me scratching my head a bit.

I don't even know where to begin this post. There have been so many great thoughts on this thread throughout the night, too many to be answered.

My thoughts. . . We got dominated on both sides of the line. We never got to Leak or any of the backs behind the line, the few times we did we never got a loss. This shocked me. On the flip side, Troy was always flushed out of the pocket and never able to wait for an opening, the way he has a million times before.

In the end, it wasn't the SEC speed that was a myth, it was the Big 10 power/strenght that was. We were dominated on the lines, in the "speed" areas and were flat out "outcoached" (which is rare to say about a JT team).

Florida is a team that is just beginning to tap it's potential while we have to again start from scratch from at least one side of the ball (assuming Ginn, Gono and Pitt are gone).

One last thought, why did the staff not think it would be benefitial to get Wells involved? or the run game period?

It bothers me when a fan says they are emberassed about their team. Yes, the lose hurt, and was very disappointing. I would have loved to see something from the Guys. Something was just missing tonight.

We can all sit back and say what they SHOULD have done, and what if the game to death.

Games like this....kinda like The Game is all about who wants it more, and Florida wanted it more. Playing as an underdog is ALWAYS a powerful spot to be in. (Remember 2002?) The Gators have talent. Their coach was amazing.

Tonight just wasn't our night. We should be thankful, that the 2006 Buckeye squad gave us one hell of a season.

We needed ted really bad tonight. I was freaking out when i saw him going into the locker room with the trainer, but i thought he would be iight to come back and play the second half. Defense is what killed us all night. Lb's kept bailin out to quick and leak hit the wr's right over the middle

My thoughts on what went wrong:

1. Our coaching staff dropped the ball. On defense, we were content to rush 3-4 guys all night long, which put no pressure on Leak, even though all week long everyone knew that Leak could be pressured into making mistakes.

2. Their D line dominated our O line.

3. Their O line dominated our D line.

4. Losing Ginn hurt. Even when TS had time to throw, no one was open. Indeed, a few of their sacks were coverage sacks. Ginn opens up the field for the other receivers in a way such that our offense is really hurt when he's out of the lineup.

5. Finally (and possibly most importantly), I got the feeling from watching the game, especially at the beginning, that our coaches and players might have gotten a little caught up in the hype and thought that we had this game in the bag by just showing up. I hate to say it, but I think it's true.
