Game Thread BCS Championship Game, tOSU vs. Florida - Jan 8th

What sucks most is we're losing 7 starters on offense, and 5 starters on defense. Only 10 guys return next year, and I'm not having to high of hopes for the offense next year. As noted above, I want to thank all of the seniors. It obviously wasn't the way they wanted to go out, but they have us a lot of GREAT memories (11/18).

Not to make excuses...and then you make an excuse. Life's not fair. 50 days or not we are blowing goat balls tonight.

I hate to say it but we are looking like Notre Lame tonight. I feel bad for the players. It has been a good season, strike that a great season. Even though it appears we are going down to defeat remember there are 116 other teams that tried and didn't make it to the BCS Championship game. We just ran into a buzzsaw tonight and UF is playing a perfect game. But I am still proud of my Bucks. We are down but not out. At the beginning of the year losing nine defense starters nobody would have thought the "D" would have played so well throughout the year. It just appears youth and inexperience caught up with us today as well as an energetic Florida OL and DL.

It was a good season Buckeye fans. Anytime you win an outright Big 10 Championship and play in the National Championship it's a good year. Bad ending, but great year.

On the bright side, at least you didn't lose 37-7 to TCU in your bowl.

Well, I am ready to shut the door on this one. What was the difference? The layoff? The speed? Nope. Urban Meyer is a great coach, and this game and the Boise State win seem to vindicate a shift in offensive philosophy. Spread the ball. get the ball in the hands of lots of different players. You are seeing the future.

2 year analysis:

Have we beaten anyone meaningful? We lost to the 2 best teams we played last year.. we beat notre dame which can't beat anyone and wasnt deserving of fiesta bowl last year. We beat texas this year at their crib but come on they lost a lot including a starting qb and how did they fair the rest of the year? We won a shootout with michigan in the shoe but then they play a real opponent in USC and get waxed!

My point is we weren't really that good this year. Analyze our schedule and the big 10 as a whole.

I want to thank Troy Smith for making saturdays exciting the past 2 years. Also if Ginn decides to go pro then good luck, you are a great talent. To the others, shut up and play, tonight proves your not good enough for the next level

Right, one bad game in the last 19 and we don't deserve our status.....give me a break

I know it may not seem like it right now, but still congrats to the Buckeyes. This has been a great ride this year and a lot of fun watching this team be so successful. Troy Smith with his Heisman and the emergence of several soon to be star Buckeyes (Wells, Robiskie, etc). I look forward to next season to see what the new faces on offense will bring us and to another successful Big Ten Season and hopefully much more success. Don't hold your heads guys, we are all damn proud of you.

It's one game fellas. We got outcoached and outplayed. It happens. I am proud of this team and all they have accomplished. Let's not forget all the great moments. Standing O for the Bucks. They never gave up. We got beat, but we didn't give any less.
