If you want an early look at the map before you play, a tournament is live right now (I believe it's PS3).

It will give you a good idea of where the mcoms are at and good tactics.

Not the highest resolution, so it doesn't look great. Yet it will give you an idea of gameplay.

BTW...early beta starts tomorrow at 8AM EST. Regular beta 2 days after that.

Just a few thoughts from what I have seen so far...

They have switched up the mcom locations, and it has really helped the attackers. It's seem a lot more even now. Of course that worries me for the maps that were not in alpha or beta.

The PC beta will have fully scaleable graphics. So if you are wondering if you can run it, the beta will give you a good idea. Just make sure you download the beta NVidia or ATI/AMD drivers that are coming out. Claims are it helps increase framerate by about 33%.

PC has adjustable field of view in the setting. Nice touch. BFBC2 was adjustable, but not in the menus and it wasn't optimal.

Spotting looks much better.

Scope glint still looks like overkill. You can see it in the last video I posted. Not good for you bush wookies. I hope they turn it down some, although I don't like to snipe so no big deal for me.

I am still not a fan of the map for alpha and beta. It does have a bunch of styles of play, but changing up weapons was not very easy in alpha. I haven't seen the setup yet, but I bet that won't change. I would like some saved setups.

I will post again once I play tomorrow. At least some of my major gripes from alpha are cleared up.

Looked like a few soliders were prone in the above video(s). Isn't that new this year, if they allow you to do that?

Sort of. Not being able to go prone was a BFBC2 thing. BF2 had prone, and this is a sequel to that game. Of course BF2 also had dolphin diving, a technique similar to bunny hoping but using prone during the jump to improve accuracy once firing (and it made the person harder to hit). There are also the worm which is at the end of the video.

No dolphin diving or the worm in BF3.
