Just a few FYI's on pre order bonuses...

The Physical Warfare Pack will be available to everyone at some point for free. I am not sure how long, but it will not always be an exclusive.

Dog tags in BF3 will be customizable. So everyone can have unique dog tags. Not sure how exclusive the Amazon ones will be.

Not sure if the SPECACT kit will ever be available to everyone. Of course that is just a unique skin that you will only get to see in replays of yourself.

Personally, I ended up ordering though Origin (EA's PC download service). It comes with the Physical Warfare Pack, early beta access (48 hours early, big deal), and some stuff for their free to play game I will never play. Of course it did come with a free copy of Dead Space 2, which is the main reason I got it.

Overall the pre order bonuses for BF3 are pretty weak. I suppose the Physical Warfare Pack is the best since you will get something that you can use in gameplay, even if it's only for a little while vs. everyone else. Of course I am sure the weapons will be weak. If they are not the community will scream bloody murder and then they will get nerfed.

I'm getting very excited for this game. Have they released any kind of info on a demo? I need to get used to the controls before the game comes out so I'm not terrible

Try out Bad Company 2. I doubt the game play will be that different. Beta/demo should be out by the end of the month.

EDIT: New Trailer Up

Multiple BPers, including myself, still play it. Best shooter by a mile.

Ebay has it for twenty bucks

Thanks for the heads up, at this point, I'm going to wait. I would purchase it, but we're having a housewarming/wedding reception at our house in a few weeks, and I have to finish all my projects.

But once 3 comes out, I'll be ready to run and gun!

That is a really short beta. BFBC2 lasted about 1 month. This is less than 2 weeks. I guess we will see how polished it is.

Although I am a little disappointed they picked Operation Metro again. Only one vehicle, and I wasn't the biggest fan of the map to begin will. I thought for sure they would pick a map with more vehicles. Not sure how they can find the vehicle bugs when their beta only has 1 vehicle.
