One major issue with attacking when I played was squad based spawning was not working. That makes attacking close to impossible. At least with squad based spawning you can work with your squad, kill campers, and make a better rush on the bomb. That will clear up much of it since many times I was killed by campers as I rushed back up the map from the starting spawn.

Even then, foliage you can hide in and prone promotes camping big time. I don't like that at all. If they got rid of the stupid bushes it would make thing much better. I could even tolerate prone that way.

and yes, they are testing out different spotting methods, so that may change too.

A poster on another site who was not part of the alpha said he was able to order it. The deal lasts until the 7th. Note, you have to pay full price and Origin does charge sales tax.

Even though I wasn't happy with the Alpha I ordered it. What the heck. I have liked every game in the Battlefield series, and I am sure some of they issue I had will get fixed or I will get used to them (fingers crossed).

Does amazon typically have a promotional credit whenyou preorder this? I know there isn't one now, but maybe closer to release date? I've only bought NCAA or another sports title from them.

Those usually don't come out until closer to release date. Gamestop is going to have the better preorder package I think.

BTW...they have now changed spotting which helps eliminate the issue in that video I posted, and it's also different than BFBC2.

Now with spotting, the only things spotted where your whole team will see the spot in 3D (not on the mini map, but actually in your field of view) will be vehicles. If a teammate spots infantry, in order for the triangle to pop over their head, you must have a clear line of sight to the enemy infantry spotted. It will on the other hand pop up on your mini map (2D spotting).

If that is confusing, allow me to elaborate with examples...

Say you are hiding in a bush for cover, and you have no line of sight to anyone (all you see is a bunch of leaves). If someone on your team spots a vehicle, you will see the little triangle pop up in your main point of view and mini map. If another person spots infantry, even if he is 2 feet in front of you, you will not see a little triangle pop up over his head if you cannot physically see him. It will only show up on your mini map.

On the other hand, if you are in the open and someone spots an enemy who is somewhere in your field of view, you will get the little triangle over their head. Yet it will disappear if they dive behind cover and you can no longer see them.

I feel this is a huge improvement.

Bad news. The new spawning system lets you spawn into a vehicle. Going to be tough to TK bitches.

Personally, I think this is great. No longer a bunch of idiots spawning at base camp lining up to get into a vehicle. Sure, people will not respawn right away and wait for a specific vehicle to pop up, then it's a battle of who can click the fastest. Yet for those that don't get the vehicle spawn, they can then spawn on a teammate closer to the action instead of being stuck way away from the action.
