Bought BF3, Arkham City, and Killzone 3 a few days ago. This game is fun. It's funny how everyone rushes to the jets.

Arkham City is one of the best games I've ever played.

Killzone 3 is one of the best looking games I've seen.

Looking forward to MW3 and Uncharted 3 later this year. Also looking into the Assassins Creed and Resistance franchises, along with Skyrim.

Damn do mortars tick people off. Sometimes they are a weak move, but on Seine Crossing they are a huge tactical weapon. I only use them there, and they are a must for taking the East Bridge. I had a teammate get ticked off since I was mortaring. He called me a coward. Yet they are a necessity on that map, and I only use them to take the East Bridge. Sadly my team sucked, so I had to keep mortaring the East Bridge. I got a ton of kills, but we didn't take the point until the end. Plus mortars are needed to kill the other mortars.

I am getting better, although I am pretty much approaching my play on BFBC2. K/D of about 1.33 and average points per minute. If I could get a squad of people for PC it would be nice. That would up my game a ton. If anyone wants to get this for PC and form a squad let me know. Also, if you want to play co op let me know. Co op unlocks weapons in multiplayer, and I am interested to use some of them.

I'd be in on a squad for the PC, but I'm still battling crashing issues. I have a hard time building any momentum as I am only good for about 20 minutes before I crash out completely. Sucks because I rarely get a full map in and my stats are suffering b/c of it.

I can pretty much rule out:
Audio and video drivers (thought the realtek drivers may be the issue, but they are now updated), video drivers are current. GPU doesn't overheat, at full load it goes to 71 degrees, which is well within the norms. I have no problems with other games... Hopefully this gets patched soon.

I probably spent more time troubleshooting the damn problem than actually playing the game. That's an exaggeration, but it definitely feels that way.

Thats what ended up turning me off to PC gaming. Fucking java updates and all the sudden games won't load...fml.

I know the perks to PC gaming, and I loved it at the time, but I'm still pretty happy with my PS3.

Good luck on your issues. What video card are you using? I had read that several people running Nvidia cards experienced crashing problems.

When you are running better hit me up on Battlelog.

As far as your crashing, I only have 1 more idea. You could lower your settings and downclock your GPU. I had to reduce my overclock for this game (it has been rock solid for close to a year, so it was strange it was not stable for this game). That cleared up some of my crashes along with the repair install I mentioned earlier. I know some people have been downclocking their GPU's and state it helps. Overall I think the GPU drivers for this game have been poor.

Anyone else find the prone/tactical light combo to be frustrating?

I hate coming around a corner, and some asshole is proned into a wall so less than half his body is showing, and he has the completely OP tac light that blinds you IN BROAD FUCKING DAYLIGHT.

Pisses me off.

Tactical lights are only annoying. They give away a person's position more than they help. Besides, I kill them when they are facing me by simply aiming just to the right of the center of the light.

you're playing on a PC. I'm guessing the light doesn't render in a gigantic splatter of solid white that fills most of the screen like it does on the overmatched console hardware.

It still does if you are right on top of the guy, but at that point just spray from the hip. No need to see the guy. Yet at any range they are terrible and I have no idea why anyone would use them. Might as well send up a huge flare to the other team and a sign that states to every passing enemy you look at "I am right here, shoot me!!!!" When I see another player try to run past me I will look at them, but I also check to see if they have teammates following. Then shoot. In that case, if I had on a tactical light, the first guy would see my light as soon as I look at him. Also, if I am using a carbine I do not want to get into a long range firefight with an assault or recon player. I know better, but as soon as I would look at them they would see my light. I see no advantage to using them unless you turn it off alot, and then it's a hassle. I prefer the heavy barrel. It's supposed to cause more vertical kickback, but it doesn't really bother me and makes the gun much more accurate.

The only thing it is useful for is pistols and you are in one of those dancing pistol contests where you both ran out of ammo on your main gun. I just started to use the 1911 with a tactical light. Seems to work well in those situations. Other than that, I find the tactical light terrible. Same with the laser. I don't know how many lives I have saved because of people that use them. You see them before the guy fires, and countless number of times I have dived for cover before he could shoot me with enough rounds to kill me. Then one of my teammates sees him and is killed. That or I flank him since I know his exact position then get an easy kill.
