I would kill to see something like this:

Ours literally looks like this, just in white, and much less refined in its coverage... since the 360 can't process that much detail as the white fades via gradient into the surrounding darkness

Every inch of that glow looks like this, not just the bright center of it

If that is the case, then yeah, I suppose for console it's worse. Like I mentioned before, when I see that I simply shoot just to the right of the center. I rarely see the tactical lights anymore, although I still see a fair amount of lasers. To me those are even worse (as in worse for the player using them). As soon as my screen goes a little red I dive and shoot. I think people equip them simply because they are one of the first unlocks. To me they are useless. Heck, even worse, a disadvantage.

Of course I never play Metro anymore where people love to use those lights. Mostly because I play conquest, and the Operation Metro map for conquest is an abomination. It is a complete cluster *bleep* at the middle flag, and most conquest servers have removed it from the rotation.

I have only had vehicle unlocks automatically equip, and that is normally the very first ones. Of course who knows, there may be times it equips, but gun unlocks have never automatically equipped for me.

Yeah, I have the same issue Josh is referencing.

My whole screen goes white. I know, just start spraying, but it really doesn't work when they are proned into one of the crates on Kharg Island. Fuckers are low, so your entire screen goes white and all the sudden you're dead.

And the light doesn't really give the position away in the daylight levels. Which is why I'm shocked it is so damned bright in CQC.

As far as your crashing, I only have 1 more idea. You could lower your settings and downclock your GPU. I had to reduce my overclock for this game (it has been rock solid for close to a year, so it was strange it was not stable for this game). That cleared up some of my crashes along with the repair install I mentioned earlier. I know some people have been downclocking their GPU's and state it helps. Overall I think the GPU drivers for this game have been poor.

I've tried underclocking my GPU (comes factory overclocked) and the difference is negligible, the temperatures go down 1-3 degrees C, but as far as crashing it's still there.

I'm hoping the patch fixes my issues, as this game is absolutely stunning on the PC, and after playing FPS on the console, I'm still an old school mouse and keyboard guy. I just hate getting on a good server, get on a good squad and after 1 map it freezes.

Well, I am pretty much out of ideas. I signed on to a couple of maps you were on tonight, but you were on the other team one time and the other time I don't think either of us lasted very long in the server (we were getting base raped in a very uneven match....I got a bunch of kills and took the loss but left after that).

I feel bad for you. I am not getting any crashes anymore, and I don't even get lag anymore. It's been rock solid, and my game has improved a ton due to that fact. I just got something like 16 ribbons in my last match. Of course it helped I was in a squad with member of my "platoon." We're not a platoon in a strictest sense since I was not on voice chat with them, and it's a big platoon (EVGA platoon). Yet they at least knew how to play, and we played well together.

Alright, I ignored INVR scopes since they sucked in the beta. I finally equipped one. Holy crap, they rock. Completely changed from beta. That is all I will use from now on.

Funny thing was I never planned to use one, but a medic died in front of me. So I picked up his equipment and revived him. So I had his gun, and he had that equipped. I mowed down people left and right. Now I see how some people are such good shots. It's so easy to pick out people with that scope.

At Damavand Peak, which is such a cluster and I hated, I was able to pick off people left and right with that scope. It makes that map so much easier.

that scope is the only one I use... does it only come in 1x or are there larger zooms down the road?

That's the only one. Personally I am fine with it. I do like the 3.4x zoom for some maps (I would switch between that and the red dot depending on map). Yet I can live with 1x for the amount of awesomeness it has.

thanks for the suggestions, I think I'm one of the people who will have to wait for this to be patched. :/

I'm usually a solid FPS player, and I've played on numerous successful teams since the late 90's.

This card won't be a waste of money as long as Batman and Skyrim run well, but this is the game I bought it for.

the video is pretty crude, cell phone camera of a TN panel monitor.... but watch the ending Scott. that is how outrageously bright the flashlights are, and it fills up most of the screen any time they are within 15 yds
