I'm loving this on the PC, but have some crashing issues online. I had very few issues in the campaign mode, but I cannot complete more than 2 rounds online without it crashing. After that problem is isolated this game could last me a very long time.

Btw, I upgraded to a 560 Ti and the game is silky smooth on high detail for me.

Hello everyone!

It?s sunday night over here at the office. It?s cold and dark outside but inside one of the nicest buildings located in the heart of Stockholm, sits a team that is working on updates. We at DICE are rolling out a new server update and of course, we are posting the change log to you.

For users, this means that you don?t need to update your client since this is a server side update.

- Fix for crashes usually occurring during level switches. Server providers may see a little bit of memory leakage instead in this situation

- Game servers should no longer quit in some situations where the online backend servers are down. Server will reconnect to the backend once it's up again

- Fix for ghost servers which didn't accept connections

- Kick reasons should better match situations where they are issued. This will help battlelog provide more accurate information to the player

- Connection fixes to avoid players sometimes being rejected while joining the game server on one of the last slots

- Security updates

- Improved server logging

Try to do what I did. Repair install. In Origin, right click on BF3. There is an option for repair install. It doesn't take long. I have had to do it twice. Both times it cleared up my contrast crashing.

Still crashing a decent amount, if not moreso after the "repair". It will crash on initial load, sometimes after 2-3 rounds. I've crashed out of servers far more than I have after a round voluntarily.

I'll try the repair again and look for solutions.

The connection issue on consoles is so fucking ridiculous.

Get a squad together, join a game...and bam, it splits you up. Oh, quick match isn't working EA? Ok, use the server browser?

One thing I'm trying tonight. Firefox has recently been having memory leaks and I've been getting high memory warnings, so I'm going to try launching the game from google chrome, which will use about 80% less memory.

I played a couple rounds earlier from Chrome with no crashes.

All I use is Chrome. It works good for me.

You can modify the filters so it shows lesser filled games. My group of buddies and I have also found that when you join a game select "No, I will select my squad later" - for WHATEVER reason this seems to keep your squad intact together. We were having so many issues getting split up or in different squads and since doing this haven't had any issues (though it could be their recent server updates I don't know - call me superstitious).

I'll be on after nine for an hour or two, then more tomorrow evening.

the lack of BPers in the BP clan is poor form. I want to see how you guys are progressing, or whether we need to go slumming and buy Mac a copy.

The infared scope is awesome, but I could do without the COD style cheapness with the mortars. don't fight back at the spawn where you can't be shot.
