Played the beta on 360. I like it, but there are some pretty stupid glitches. Every game had someone below the map killing enemies, or someone was floating. Map sucks.

But I think the game will be good. Just need to see those glitches fixed and play on a map that isn't a total disaster to really know if the execution is as good as the buildup..

Are there any PS3 players?

I'm getting the beta/preordered the game. Loved the last one, sure I'll love this one.
I downloaded the beta for PS3. Apparently, I did that just to remind myself how much I hate playing shooters on a console.

If I can stop playing FIFA 12, and don't decide to give NCAA 12 another shot, then I might buy this game for PC.

As for why they went with Operation Metro, not something else, well, it's a beta. "We have already showed this map and made some big changes to it to enhance gameplay as well as get it more fluent than in the Alpha," Matros explained later. "Lots of new things have been added in closer to launch. Our rank progression system as well as customizations have made their way into the beta and it?s very important for us to test these things before we launch. That is the purpose of the Beta as well as combining it with Battlelog and all of the features there. If you feel that this isn?t the right map for you, then perhaps we don?t really agree on what maps we want to see."

I would have liked to played a different map, but for a Beta this wasn't that bad. I think this map would be superb in conquest mode. I think RUSH itself leads to a camping map. I thought the second m-com stations were very camping/defending friendly. I'm still pumped for this game.

For people that are Battlefield fans, you really have to look past Operation Metro. I was lucky enough to play Caspian Border for a few days. It is everything that Battlefield is all about.

It's a huge map, so camping anywhere except the capture point is stupid (although some do it). Yet that doesn't really matter since it's so wide open most campers get killed quickly. There are no bottlenecks like Metro, so flanking a camper and knifing him is easy. If they camp in a building, just blow it up with a tank.

Plus, vehicles. Sure, right now there are the usual lines for the jets. Yet I blame it being the beta and people wanting to try them out more than anything. There will be lines of idiots when the game launches, but that will die down. Other than that, it's a fantastic map. If you are on the fence and don't like Metro (I despise Metro and I refuse to play it), trust me, it is much, much better once you get away from that crappy map.

Metro got a lot funner for me when I started using the shotgun in the underground parts. I think the rush mode itself leads to camping problems. People are always just setting up shop in places around the m-com stations.

I don't mind it around the MCom. That is expected. It's the fact there are 3 bottlenecks right next to each other in the subway level. I don't mind a couple of bottleneck as long as there are multiple routes, and they are in much different places. Yet they put 3 right next to each other. You can either come up the left side through a bottleneck (they even closed up the far left with a destroyed train), up the middle through a door into an open area, or on the right which is a little more open. Yet on the right there are some perfect camping spots where the defenders can hide under the platform right next to a train. Good defenders can watch all three bottlenecks at once and just turn it into a turkey shoot.

It can be overcome, but you have to be good and using teamwork. Which means for the majority of people the game just dies right there.

I'll most likely be playing this on the PS3, mostly because I'm too damn cheap to upgrade my comp for a game. I might change my mind, b/c I heavily prefer playing shooters on a PC.

I'm playing the beta occasionally, so if you see me on I'll join up.

Just got home today and installed it. I just finished playing this for 6 hours straight with a few friends. We finally entered a game where we were in a squad together and went 14-6. Skype helped a lot; communication is key! The map had a Call of Duty feel to it, but you can see what their trying to do and I can't complain.

OK, I've played this game enough to have an opinion.

Overall, I'm loving this game so far, and I have no problem with the Metro map.

I don't consider sniping (in this game) camping, that's just how the battlefield series is played, it's no worse than Battlefield 2. The only camping I've run across in the beta version of this game is when someone glitches into the ground and picks people off or when an attacker sets up a mobile spawn point at the rear flank of the objective and spawn camps defenders as they run to their positions.

I'm not a huge fan of the mobile spawn points, especially for sniper class. I can see on large maps them setting up a spawn point and quickly re-using it over and over again. At least on BF2 the sniper had to go from base (or squad) to their remote sniper spot. Now they can rapidly rack up the kills on large maps with the remote spawn point.

I'm REALLY tempted to get a new vid card as this game looks a 1,000 times better on the PC then on the console (even on med/low settings). The gameplay is fun on the console though, I'd be happy either way...
