I have played for about 5 straight hours on Caspian. Love it. Plus I finally hit my stride. I thought I was in serious trouble (I am no spring chicken anymore). Yet I can finally play the aggressive style that I like, and the amazing thing is I am doing it lone wolf, which is tough in Battlefield.

OK, no one cares. Just felt good to play like I used to. Anyway, Caspian is great. The only negative is if you get stuck at the spawn without a vehicle. Then it's a huge hike to the closest capture point.

I watched my brother play a few rounds today. It was god damn awesome. Makes me wish I had the PC to run it (I've decided I'm better off w/ it for 360 now). He does the lone wolf style of play. Add him as a friend (Shisca), he'd probably join up with you.

Cool. I'll wait until launch. Setting up anything right now in Battlelog is useless, and trying to play on the same server is a pain since people are dropped left and right. I would say 75% of my games are dropped from the server (and I get no points which really ticks me off). Although that should show how much I like Caspain. The majority of games don't count for unlocks, and I keep playing.

I am currently forming a squad together with a few friends on PC for BF3. We are one short of a full squad. We are a squad; meaning, we move together and we seize objectives together (best way to play and win). We are considering buying/renting a server as well. 9 maps, all of them support all game modes. 4 more a month or so later with the Back to Karkand DLC. That is a ton of maps right away, especially since they support all game modes.

Still no word why Omaha showed up in the code. It might be a map unlocked later for free (DICE often does this with older maps). Who knows, maybe it was a mistake. It would be nice to see more than Wake from 1942.

I have a feeling they will release another DLC or expansion within a year. By this time next year I would not be surprised to see 20 maps with all game modes. That is a ton of multiplayer content.

Really long, and no new footage. Yet this is some feedback from the GeForce LAN event.

A few highlights...

1) More vehicle heavy maps. One map has 6 main battle tanks per side, plus LAV, plus attack helicopter, plus jets.
2) Hit reg is fixed (well, much better). No more dying on what seems to be one hit.
3) Mortars are a huge game changer and makes the support class more useful.
4) Metro is not really representative of the rest of the maps. It's by far the smallest map.
5) The basejump map is very unique. Tough to describe, but seems like a very vertical map with lots of cover. Recon will love that map.
6) Weapons have been balanced, and the OP weapons in the beta no longer seem OP.
7) Laser and tactical lights are turned down
8) Feels very, very polished and no real negatives reported.

There is much more in there. It's not the most entertaining thing, but interesting. Only 5 more days.
