I went to see Bob Dylan at Vets Memorial in 1960 something. The crowd made it all but impossible to hear so I swore off concerts -- until I eard that Dylan was going to be at Riverbend. 40+ years and I still loved much of Dylan's work so I bought tickets. Uggg. The sound system at Riverbend has always sucked and the huge renovation didn't do anything to improve it. The roadies seemed to think that it was a good idea to put 70% of the mics inside the drum set. Dylan decided to play keyboards and thus never looked once at the audiance. Every song sounded just like the previous one, except slower or faster. In short, it was an awful experience, but it did get me to get off my ass and buy CDs of all those terriffic albums I cut my Dylan teeth on... stuck here inside of Cincinnati with the Memphis blues again.

My first concert was the Thompson Twins. My mom and dad bought me the tickets for my 11 birthday. My sister (21 at the time) took me.
Did you catch the drunken pirate wench party band this year Ryn? I missed you there this year on Talk like a pirate day. :(
